How can i tell if my 11 year old telly can play ntsc( I have lost the manual)

Easiest way is to try it - some older TVs can't handle NTSC and the DVD plays in B&W.

You may be able to set the output of your DVD to PAL even when playing a NTSC DVD.

What is your TV make and model - there are websites where you can download manuals?

The model number is usually on the rating plate on the rear of the TV.

Being of Japansese origin, the chances are very high it will. Note how you will be connecting it though, Im pretty sure you will have to connected it via RGB, rather than composite video or s-video.

I looked up and it said it is not and my player cant convert ntsc to pal so i might weight to June see how money going and 1 buy a new telly 2 but a converter machine.
