Hey Everyone!
I was just looking at the updated menus on AllEarsNet and saw this dish on the Tutto Italia menu:

Sacchetti - pasta pillows filled with ricotta and mozzarella cheese and pomdoro sauce $25

Just wondering, do you think they could do this with the sauce on the side, or would it be oven-baked? Or even better still, if they could do it with a parmesan or white sauce of some sort? Has anyone tried this dish? I have yet to hear much about it...
Oooh, I'm also wondering if the filling has much in the way of herbs involved?
Thanks for any insight or ideas! :goodvibes :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

I plan on ordering this in a few weeks...I think it is going to be like raviolis...not baked but then again who knows. If you do not like herbs or a red sauce try the bucatini...wow it is amazing....they do bake it in the oven so it gets nice and toasty on top

See, I was originally thinking of the bucatini, but I don't like peas or prosciutto either! I always assumed it was kind of pre-mixed and then they just toss it in the oven when you order it. (Have you noticed that I'm a picky eater and I don't know how to cook? LOL ). It's not that I don't like red sauce, but at home I don't put anything in it, it's just the chunks of onion and such that throw me off. Thanks! :goodvibes

I am pretty sure this is what my dd (11) had when we were there last month. I'll ask her your questions and get back to you (although I am almost certain that the sauce could be put on the side).

I had it last month and it was wonderful. It wasn't baked so they may be able to do another type of sauce. It also had ricotta salada on top. Biogio our waiter suggested no parmesan because it would clash with the ricotta.
