TUT TUT...It Looks Like RAIN! A Nikki and Tom August Adventure! BABY PIC pg. 23!!! :)

Holy Moly those pictures of you with the security hat on are the best Epcot pictures I have ever seen!!!:lmao:

You got some fabulous food pictures. Those are the kind I want, but never come out like that. Perfect focus and sharp. Great job.

Looks like you all are getting a little crazy with your poses this day. Looks so fun. I hope my family will loosen up a bit and be fun.

Read up to this point this morning. Love your TR, thanks for sharing

Great! So glad you're enjoying it!

Thanks Jen! I really appreciate you saying that. I think those last ones from WPE came out so good because we were outside.

Day 5 cont.

So the relaxing day with a stop in Epcot for dinner, turned into 2 margaritas and 1 moroccorita and I'm feeling like I have to sit down out of the heat immediately!

I'm a little foggy on how I found this place or how I even got there but before I knew it, I'm sitting in a wonderful, cool, dark, small room that's quiet and empty. It was the perfect place for me at that moment! I couldn't believe I had never been there before. It was in Morocco, to the left of the pavilion if you are looking at it straight on. Unfortunately, I don't have a picture of it from the outside NOR do I know what it's called. Actually....I think I did take a picture of it later because I DID use it again later in the trip...and I have a feeling that won't be the last time I use that room. It's like it was made for me! Although, I'm sure most people don't say they "use" it, as much as "look in it." It had some artifacts or something maybe? I really have no idea. It was just so relaxing and cool and PERFECT!

I was in there for a while, just getting myself together and eventually Tom found me like this....

DSC_0334.jpg

I was feeling much better by the time he got there so I was ready to go but not before asking Tom to "pose with that camel."

DSC_0337.jpg

I know - it's not a camel. So I was cooled off and feeling better but that doesn't mean I was sober!

That room was just so pretty! Tom photographed it from the bottom of his beer cup...

DSC_0338.jpg

Ooooh!! Here it is!! I found a picture I took of the place later in the week.....this is it from the outside.

We continued onward past France and over the bridge to the UK.

DSC_0347.jpg

Uh-oh...something is missing!

DSC_0348.jpg

By the way, I want you to take notice of the beautiful, sunny day we are having......

Because by the time we got to Canada....you guessed it! Downpour!

We went running for the shops and actually ended up having a great time in there talking to the CMs. I don't remember what exactly...they were both very happy to be in WDW. We also found some GREAT souvies that we probably never would have stopped to see. One was a soap called "Beaver Butt" which we bought for a friend of Tom's mom's because she had recently told us a story about a beaver in her backyard.

They also had these random paddles with a list of uses for them.

IMG_1890.jpg

Eventually, the rain lightened up and we kept onward - back to Mexico.

IMG_1891.jpg

I definitely did NOT get a margarita this time because 3 sweet drinks is just too much so I opted for a beer.

IMG_1893.jpg

I don't remember where I got it from - maybe canada? who knows!

By the time we got to Norway, we were almost empty again...

Eventually, we made our way to Tokyo Dining. I was excited to try something new and it did NOT disappoint! You check in to the restaurant at a stand at the bottom of the stairs and then go up. This and Teppan Edo are connected, so much so that they share a bathroom! I had to walk past the hibacci tables of Teppan Edo to use the bathroom.

We were seated right away and our waiter came over to show us how to use chopsticks. I have never used them in my life but I was determined to try!

DSC_0350.jpg

IMG_1896.jpg

Oh see that? I ordered a beer too.....

DSC_0351.jpg

DSC_0353.jpg

Tom got the same one.

DSC_0354.jpg

The waitress made some sort of contraption for Bri's chopsticks so they were stuck together and all she had to do was pinch them.

DSC_0355.jpg

Bri ordered sushi, which I have never had in my life, nor will I EVER!

DSC_0357.jpg

I did have a taste of the wasabi though and it sure was hot!

DSC_0359.jpg

DSC_0360.jpg

I ordered Chicken Katsu and Tom ordered Chicken Tempura. The only difference is mine was breaded in Panko and it was soooooooo good!

DSC_0363.jpg

There was also rice, slaw (which I didn't eat) and a cucumber salad which was soooooo good! I love cucumber!

There was also a bowl of soup and the waitress explained that you are to pick it up and drink it straight from the bowl. When she had given us all our food, she asked if I wanted a spoon for the soup and apparently (according to Tom) I told her, "Nah, I'm gonna do it Japanese-style!" I was just full of interesting expressions that day!

DSC_0364.jpg

Everything was so delicious, I'm pretty sure I cleaned all my plates - except that slaw!

Look! I even used the chop-sticks!

DSC_0367.jpg

This was Tom's....

DSC_0366.jpg

We left VERY satisfied and happy!

So I THINK that makes a total of 2 margaritas, 1 moroccorita and 2 beers.

Tokyo Dining was really the peak of the day - it all started to go down hill after that.....

Great update! I've never seen that little room in EPCOT..have to explore that country more. Your dinner looks so yummy. I can;t believe you've never had sushi. I love it :) Oh no's...what happened after Tokyo Dining? Suspense!!! -Amanda princess:

I think I found that little room on my last trip. I had made it a point to really explore Morocco because it's so pretty!

Fun times!

I love finding little places like that around the world showcase to duck out of the sun after eating and drinking around the countries. They need more!

I'm with you...no sushi for me, ever!!!

Finally caught up!! I love your trip reports - they are so NOT boring!!!

First, I cannot believe you don't like the cheese soup in Le Cellier or eating at Columbia Harbor House, two of my favorites!!!!! Seriously, everyone does have different tastes.

Great pictures of Dumbo - I LOVE the new rides - they are so pretty, especially at night.

I don't like watching Wishes from Fantasyland either - I agree, you miss too much.

I think I should take you to EMH at MK with us - that is our favorite EMH - and we usually close the park.

When I was at the AEP we closed World Showcase, literally - they closed the gate behind us as we crossed the bridge near China. The monorail was closed and we got one of the last buses to the Contemporary, I remember one of the guards saying "close it down after these ladies". We had a very good time at Tutto Italia that night - lol!!!

I agree with you on the Back Lot Tour- is has just been deteriorating ever since they got rid of the human guides on the bus. One trip last spring they skipped the Harbor Attack simulation - that was so weird. I think it needs to go.

I love DTD in the daytime. I have heard that it is also less crowded earlier in the week, like Mondays.

I MUST go found your secret spot in Morocco - I have never seen it either!!

Wow, that's awesome that you found that area to sit in right when you needed to. Score! I'm going to have to remember that place if I ever find myself in a similar situation (correction, WHEN I find myself in a similar situation).

So right. Cooled off and feeling better does not equal sober. :lmao:

Tokyo Dining is a great restaurant! I ate there once on a whim, and it was sooooo good.

Yay, Sapporo!!! One of my favorite Japanese beers!

No sushi for you? It's so good though (although an acquired taste).

Uh oh, downhill? That's no good.

i am really enjoying your trip report. I agree about the sweet drinks. i can normally only two one. I always go for the lime. i will have to try the mango when I am back in november. i did not always like sushi... i can tolerate some of the rolls.

Well nothing major...just kind of crashed and soooo much rain!

They really do need more of those little places! So glad you agree about sushi! Yuk!

Glad you're all caught up! Thanks for you all comments! I love them! So cool about closing down Epcot. I would've loved that.

Yes you have to try the mango, much less acidy than the lime.

I can't beleive you weren't falling over at that point. You totally crack me up.

The food looks good. I had an ADR there once, but then canceled it because the time was just not working for us.

I know, right?! And I'm telling you - I know I've said this before - but I rarely drink at home! I mean, I'll have an occasional beer or two with dinner, especially in the summer if we BBQ but other than that.....for some reason in WDW, I just love it! It's just so much fun!

I know what you mean though. On the cruise I had 4 drinks in about 1 and 15 minutes. I should've been loaded and making a fool of myself...maybe I did :rotfl:, but I didn't feel too bad at all. With in an hour I was totally sober again.

You were right!!!!! Classic Epcot pics indeed!!!! Uh oh... I don't like the sounds of "downhill"...
