Tusker house/ROL and Crystal Palace Questions

A few questions, I have read and searched, but i guess i still don't feel like I know the answer
Is dinner at Tusker House and Crystal Palace dinner a character meal?
Should we do the ROL dining package-is it really beneficial, reading about time frames and the first and second showings is confusing me?

Haven't been in a very long time and just trying to get my head straight before having to make reservations. Thank you!

Yes, Tusker House and Crystal Palace have characters at every meal - breakfast, lunch and dinner.

If you know you want to eat at Tusker House (or Tiffins) and you know you want to see ROL, yes, book the package. It will get you into the show (and guarantee a seat) much quicker than waiting standby. I, personally, would not see ROL without the dining package or a FP+ as that standby line can get super long.

You must arrive at Tusker House no later than 2 hours and 30 minutes prior to the start of ROL

I would just decide what meal you are most interested in at TH (breakfast vs. lunch vs. dinner) and schedule from there. Breakfast will be the cheapest. We prefer lunch!
