Just back from Xmas week trip.

The Tusker House is excellent. The food was better than the Boma, especially the desserts! The buffet pods are very spread out so that it is easy to get more food.

My new favorite Disney restaurant.

That is great to hear. I'm making our adr's today and was on the fence about Tusker House or Boma.

I was sad to see the old Tusker House go...it was one of our WDW-dining favorites. Good to see a positive review.

agnes!

I agree! We'll be eating at the new Tusker House in March, but I still miss the old CS Tusker House. I loved the salmon and the corn chowder.

I totally agree. We felt Boma had nothing going for it, really, but Tusker House made for a great lunch in the park. Love the decor, and the food was both varied and good. Service was friendly and helpful, too.

We walked in and got immediate seating at 11:30 AM on Friday the 14th, then made an ADR for 11:50 AM on the 21st because we liked it so much!

My DH said the same thing. I'm not ready to say it's better than Boma, but I absolutely loved it. (I actually made the ADR for Tusker House b/c we couldn't get one at Boma) There's no question it will be on my ADR list for next trip. My favorite item was the samosas with fresh mango chutney, which were perfectly done. Our family also loved the salmon, the tabouleh, the cous cous, several other salads and the desserts. The chicken curry and the meats were fine, but I enjoyed the salads and stuff more.

I'm not sure how Tusker House will do with people who aren't willing to try new foods -- I sure hope we don't go back in a couple years and find it has a Chef Mickey's menu!

Wouldn't that be a nightmare!

Or if they change chefs...

the old tusker house was one of our favorites in disney. the food was AMAZING even though it was a cs restaurant. i'm glad to hear that the remolded version is great too!
Boma was nice especially the atmosphere but the food wasn't as good as we thought it would be. i'd take tusker house over boma any day!!
