We've been to TH breakfast & we want a few character meals for DS7. Not sure if we should do breakfast or lunch since they both offer characters now. My in-laws are coming with us & we're also going to Crystal Palace the morning we depart. Which would you suggest?

I should have posted on another page. I am moving. Thanks!

Breakfast. No question for us.

We have done both, and we loved the breakfast but were disappointed in the lunch. It was much more crowded and the characters were far more rushed. I did not think the food was nearly as good at lunch either.

At the breakfast we did, the characters spent a lot of time with us and even did a Congo dance with the kids. Nothing like that at lunch. Maybe it was just the time of year we were there. We did the breakfast in July when there was no free dining. We did the lunch in early October when free dining was in effect. I have a feeling that during free dining they pack in the character meals. It is just a theory.

Another reason to choose breakfast: There are several great quick service (counter service) choices at AK for lunch, but breakfast QS choices are significantly more limited. We love Flame Tree Barbecue and Pizzafari is not bad at lunch, either. We had a terrible breakfast at Pizzafari, though.

Try to get a reservation for 8 am on a non-extra-magic-hours day. You get in the park early and are first in line for Kilamanjaro safaris, too.

Breakfast hands down. It's the best breakfast buffet I've been to on property. The food is always hot, fresh and plentiful. And the characters are great.

We don't eat right when we wake up. Well I do but not the kids or SO. They need to be up for a little while before getting hungry or wanting to eat.

So we go on an AM EMH day, hit the park at 8 am rope drop, ride rides, collect FP on other rides and have our ADR for 10 am. Now with FP+ it works even better because we can do plenty between 8-10 and then have breakfast and hit the rest of our rides that have FP+.

I'm going against the grain. Do the lunch!!! Do you really want to spend all that money for a meal of eggs, bacon, and muffins? You can do a quick breakfast at the resort for practically nothing.

The lunch menu here is really great if you like trying new things. And it's not "bad" new things either. The flavors you'll experience here are incredible, you get lots of good food for a middle of the day meal, and you get the characters. If you eat breakfast, you'll be hungry again by 1pm and spending more cash to eat at the park. Do the lunch!

You can have the best of both worlds if you want. Tusker House doesn't close between breakfast and lunch so if you make a late breakfast reservation you can be there for breakfast and lunch. We did this last year and it was great! The only problem is trying not to eat too much breakfast so you will room for the lunch selections.;)

now you have me looking at times and we weren't even planning on going to AK this july..lol.. so it switches from breakfast from 10:55 to lunch at 11am..

10:30 ADR would get it just right you think?
