Is this a must do? I'll have DD14, DS11, and DD8. Will they be too old for it? I think it looks really cute but .... I don't know. Anyone have any insights here?
TIA,
Kimba

I have no idea if your 14 and 11 year olds will feel too cool for it, but I bet your 8 year old will LOVE it. I KNOW YOU will love it! It was just the coolest thing. I still don't understand the technology behind it. I can understand a talented actor doing improv, but how do they get Crush to IMMEDIATELY act out whatever the actor is saying??? Amazing attraction.

imo it's definitely worth going to see... i think it appeals to all ages... the adults in our group loved it as much as the kids :)

This is a very cool attraction. Here is how it works. An actor site in a area near by. The actor has multiple touch screen monitors in front of him. When the actor wants to talk to someone he can touch (on the screen) the person (usally a kid) and not only does crush move over to the person but his monitor zooms in also. That is how he can make sure that he gets the right description.

This is a great attraction for anyone, young and old.

It was just my husband and me (45 and 43). My husband is a total Eeyore but he was laughing and smiling through the whole thing. Incredible attraction and a "not to be missed".

Not to be missed. DH and I don't even have any kids and we would never miss it. It's amazing and so different.

We missed this on our last trip--

Is it usually crowded?

I consider it a MUST do...even if your older kids aren't into Crush or Nemo, they will be amazed at the technology and will probably be saying
"How'd they do that?!" like I did. It has something to appeal for everyone and I think it's a definite do not miss!

The last two times I saw it wasn't crowded at all, but it wasn't during peak times so I don't know what it would be like during Spring breaks or Easter week or anything.

Sounds like it has something to do with a show and Nemo. My daughter loves Nemo so this sounds like something I would like to take her to.....Is there times posted somewhere for this or is this a ride?

there is actualy a lot more to the show then just a touch screen... but if i told you all the secrets i would have to kill you

the turtle is Crush from finding nemo who talks and interacts with guests inside the show. mostly the kids who sit in front.

it is at the living seas building at epcot... it runs continuously all day long, like most attractions... you do not need any reservations but it is first come first served and i do not believe it offers fastpass... i would grab my fastpass for soarin' go see crush and head back to soarin' :)

DD11 and I saw it and loved it - we told DH & DS8 about it so they went later that day - DH can be a real stick in the mud and he was very impressed, even said it was one of the best shows we had seen! I think your kids will enjoy it - it is so real it is amazing!!

I think we will do it. Luckily all my kids are major disney-nuts so they were all into seeing it. It was really crowded when we last went but the living seas had just reopened. We'll put it on our "must see" list.
Thanks Again!!

I took my DS(11) last year and he loved it. To be honest with you, my DW and I thoroughly enjoyed it as well. It was real cute and I like Crush anyway. The realism is very cool. To have the ability to talk to an object that is not even there or not real, is Wow! I can only imagine what they are going to do next.

Do not miss Crush. It is one of the best things Disney offers. Our 12 year old kept telling us she wasn't going to sit with the kids, but of course the minute we walked in, she was down in front with the rest of them. Dh and I loved it and can't wait to see it again.

My DH and I saw Turtle Talk for the first time last May when we took a trip to WDW without the kids. We both laughed so hard and were so excited for our kids to see it on our Sept. '05 trip; however, it was closed then for the Living Seas rehab. Now the kids have to wait until June to experience it. It is definitely something we will see and probably more than once. Each show is different and relies on audience participation.

In one of our showings, Crush called on a young boy to ask a question. He asked the boy's name and the boy responded "Hunter". Without missing a beat, Crush looked horrified and responded in his slow, surfer-guy accent (with a scared tone), "You're not hunting now, are you?" The audience just roared.

I could never think that quickly on my feet. It really is a great show.

Help!!!!!!I haven't a clue what you all are talking about :confused3 :confused3 What is the 'Turtle"
Turtle Talk with Crush is NOT a FastPass attraction. You just wait in line. Shows are about every 20 minutes, NOT on any kind of timetable (at least not as far as we the guests know). Kids are all asked to sit up front, on the floor, and there are backless bench-type seats for the rest of the crowd.

At the front is what looks like a huge TV screen. It's supposed to be as if we are looking through a huge aquarium window. Crush, the adult turtle from Finding Nemo, is the emcee. It's all a cartoon, but its incredibly interactive. It's truly differrent every time. Crush, in his Australian surfer-dude accent, talks with the kids, calling on them by what they're wearing, and they ask him questions which he answers not only with words but with actions. It's funny and charming, but as I said before, the technology is pure Disney magic.
