Is that tiger float at Animal Kingdom? I bet Faron would love that float.

Yes, that parade is really cool. They have a ton of animal floats and really neat costumes.

Y'all have to see the Dream a Dream Come True parade at MK. Grace would LOVE it! Especially all of the princesses with their princes. I love that parade too! Have you ever seen Spectromagic?

No I have never seen spectro magic:scared1: . I gurss I have been missing out all this time.

Hey DisneyTiger:

I finally had a few minutes to look at Disboards and thought I would see how your tr is coming along. The pictures are great and of course the kids are so cute.

Your pictures of MNSSHP "Boo to you Parade" are fabulous. We stood in the same spot but on the other side and we had this really bright light shining on the parade that we didn't notice until we turned to watch the parade as it went by and we were blinded by the light. (Way to late to move by then)

I hope all is well. I'm going to check out your pretrip report on your trip with Aubrey.

My friend, where have you been?? I have been thinking about you so much lately and wanted to send a PM but I just haven't gotten around to it. I am not online much these days, as you can see from my lapse in posts! I am just so happy to hear from you. I hope you are doing well. I promise to get a new post up asap!

I don't have a PTR going yet for me and Aubrey's trip. I still haven't really convinced myself yet that it's goiing to happen. We have a lot of balls in the air right now with our points. We will be booking our beach trip on Feb 1st and I don't know how many points that's going to be. Also, we are thinking about going to WDW with Jason's family in November but we're not sure if we will be using points or paying cash. Bottom line, I am not sure if I will have enough points for the mother/daughter trip but I sure hope I do!

So glad to see you back on the boards!

Awesome parade pictures! And the one of the kid dressed as the toy soldier is too funny. :rotfl: But they definitely get points for uniqueness!

Your costumes are so cute! :goodvibes
We felt a little funny walking through Pop in our costumes on Sunday.
I know some people were probably wondering why we were dressed liked that.

That’s a completely different sign than we saw the week before!
Just checked my photos, and the sign we saw said September at the bottom, with all Sept party dates, so I guess they had to change it for October.

We walked towards the gates and started getting in the mood when we saw this...

Your Boo to You parade pictures came out amazing!!!!
Much better than ours did.
We just loved that parade!!!

I found your report 3 days ago and have spent the last 3 days reading it. Love it! I really wish I had found it sooner. Your writing style is wonderful and I love all the pictures. I want your camera.

I love Disney, the Tigers and guess what? I live in Baton Rouge too! Born and bred.

My youngest was 3 the first time we took her. I just love that age. They really believe! She'll be 10 this year.

Keep writing!

I hope you are ok. I miss reading your updates. Come back soon.:flower3:

I'm here. Sorry. More coming:(

One more week for you:banana:

Ok, now I just feel really bad. You just found my report and then I stopped posting. Nothing personal, I promise!!!

I can't believe you live in BR!!! Small world. Well, I promise I will get to posting soon. I need to go upload some pics. I have no idea where I left off. Sad. Thanks for reading:love:

That poor boy. I think there will be therapy in his future for sure!

That is weird about the sign. Disney sure does keep you on your toes! I loved the parade and the whole party a lot more than I thought I would. I just didn't know what to expect but it sure turned out to be awesome!

Hi everyone, ok so there is no excuse for my absence so I will just get to writing. I need to mention though, that when I got on the DIS I had to log in! That's how long it's been! I also had to log in on photobucket. Man, I'm a slacker. Also, I am having a sever case of de ja vu becasue I feel like I've done this post before. I think I'm losing it!

Anywho, when I last left y'all, we had just finished watching the wonderful Boo To You Parade. Now it was time to do a little trick or treating! First stop was Columbia Harbour House. It was so cool because they shut the whole restaurant down and we walked straight through getting our candy on the way. Too cool.

We headed over to Ariel's Grotto for a dance party. Again, I had no idea what to expect with this and was pleasantly suprised! They were playing great music and different characters came out to dance. It took Aubrey a while to warm up to the idea but Brendan was ready to boogie right away...

mnsshp132-1.jpg

Aubrey started getting into it, especially when Pluto came out. He took her hand and they started getting down!

mnsshp137.jpg

Then came Donald and they both started to get into it!

mnsshp143.jpg

Then the DJ played a game of Simon says. This was really cute. By this time, they were in their own little world, dancing away!

mnsshp148.jpg

After the dance party, it was time to head over to Cinderella Castle to catch Hallowishes. This was quite a show. Here are some pics of the spooky castle...

When Hallowishes was over, it was time to head home. I was sad because this was going to be my last few minutes in the MK for a long time. Jason and the kids went ahead of me and looked at all of the decorated windows and scarecrows that decorated the entrance...

mnsshp209.jpg

I stayed back a little bit and tried to take it all in. I stopped and took a deep breath and smelled the confectionary and all of its yummy treats. I listened to all of the kids laughing and the spooky music in the background. I was sad to leave but man, it was a great night.

As we exited the gates, I snapped a pic of these pumpkins. It didn't come out too good but the pumpkins spell out "See you real soon". Too cute...

mnsshp211.jpg

One last shot on our way out, everything looked so festive...

mnsshp216.jpg

At the gates, they were handing out even more candy. Ghiradelli chocolates!! What:cool1: That was a nice treat!

The kids were beat so we figure we would chance the bus ride home. It was probably the quietest one of the whole trip. All of the kids on the bus seemed to be sleeping. Everyone was exhausted. It was so nice and peaceful until.... AHHHHHHHHHHH! We hear a shreaking scream come from the front of the bus! It was the bus driver. Aparantly, she had seen a huge rat cross over the street infront of the bus. This must have been some rat because she screamed as if it were coming at her with a butcher knife! We all laughed, but no one woke up. It was quite memorable!

When we got to the resort, we took a short cut back to our room through the quiet pool. Here's a shot of the pathway. So peaceful...

mnsshp227.jpg

And here's a shot of our room on the 2nd floor...

mnsshp232.jpg

We walked in the door and checked out the sitting area for a bit. This was just such a beautiful resort. I could have taken pictures of everything. Well, I did take pictures of everything but I'm choosing not to bore you with them:)

mnsshp235.jpg

Brendan was still asleep from the bus ride..

mnsshp237.jpg

I have no idea what time it was at this point but I do know that it was late and we were tired. We headed up to our rooms and put the kids down with no baths. Jason and I followed shortly after. It was such a fun day. I loved the party and can't wait to go again one day in the future!!!

Up next.... AK and Hoopty Doo Review, our last day in the parks:(

We did AK for our last park day last year. I love the picture of Brendan sleeping in the stroller. I laughed out loud at it. Brennan and I went to the dance party at the Pirates and princess party. It was so fun watching the little kids dance. I couldn't talk Brennan into dancing. I am sad to think you are already almost to the last day of your trip report. I am so glad you get to go back in May. I missed you and I am glad you are back.

Hello, I am happy to be back too. I think that my subconscious is not letting me post since it knows my TR is almost over:( But I have to remember that I can start a new PTR soon and then another TR after that!:thumbsup2

We love Animal Kingdom. I have to say it's my favorite park. I just think it's so beautiful. Brendan was wiped out after that party. I guess I understand why Brennan wouldn't dance with you at the PPP. He couldn't be dancing with his mom AND be wearing black eye liner! :lmao: I still think about that from your last report when you told him to stop crying or his liner would run. That was just hysterical!

PS- been meaning to tell you that I got my lime green bag. I love it. I like how you put your mickey head on yours. How'd you do that? Is it just an iron on? or is it a patch?

Thanks for picking your report back up.

You're pictures are wonderful. Have your started scrapbooking them yet? I love to scrapbook. I'm still working on our Mardi Gras 2004 trip.

Thanks, I wish I could take credit for the pictures but it's really the camera. It's wonderful. I recommend it to anyone. Very worth the investment!

Scrapbooking! Ha! I keep saying that I will start after I finish my TR. I have all the stuff I need. I just hope I remember where everything goes!

Thanks for reading:lovestruc

I loved your photos! It's good to see you back on here again! :goodvibes

And I hope I can meet up with you next week!

I ironed the mickey head on my bag. I did it just like a t-shirt. I got the design from the creative DISign board. I just put in a request for what I wanted and somone made it for me and I printed it out on iron on transfer paper. I used the iron on for dark colors. I think I put a towel on it when I ironed it. It wasn't hard just don't put your iron too hot. Good luck.

Great update! I love the pictures of the castle at the party. And the one at the BCV with the lights is so cute. It's bringing back memories from our trip and when we'd get back after a busy day in the parks. Oh yes, and you definitely wouldn't bore me with more Beach Club pictures!

I need to get on the DISign board. I would love for someone to make me a "Mother / Daughter" trip design for me and Aubrey. I'll have to see about getting a DisneyTiger head too!

Thanks! Oh the Beach Club. My heaven on earth can I tell you??! I think about that place on a daily basis! It was such a relaxing place. And don't worry, I have a bunch of pictures that I plan on posting at the end of my report. It will be a "Resort Pics" post!:thumbsup2

October 3, 2008 - our last day in the parks:sad: This was going to be our lagniappe day. Er, guess I should explain that. Lagniappe is a term that we use down here in South La (and other parts of the south too) that means "a little something extra." So this day was our "extra" day for us to do whatever we felt like doing when we woke up. But when I woke up, this is what I found under my door...

ME002.jpg

I would be lying if I told you that this did not bring me to tears. I was so sad to see our bill under our door with our Magical Express info. This meant things were really coming to an end. I tried to look past this and think about the day ahead. What in the world were we going to do today. We decided to head over to AK for the opening. We hadn't seen Festival of the Lion King yet and that is how Jason and I usually end our trips. I couldn't wait for the kids to see it. It is such an amazing show and usually brings me to tears. So off we went to...

animalkingdom006.jpg

Aubrey insisted on wearing her Cinderella dress today even though I had shirts for us to wear. Oh well, it was our last day. Why not. Besides, I knew it would last long and she would be ripping it off first chance she got. Here they are walking into the park...

animalkingdom004.jpg

When we got in, there were some CMs standing out showing people fossils and spiders and things like that. I don't remember exactly what we saw, but the kids thought it was way cool...

animalkingdom007.jpg

We got a times guide and saw that a FOTLK show was about to begin. We made a b line for Camp Minnie Mickey and got in line. Brendan was a bit restless, shocking I know. He roamed around while we waited for the doors to open...

animalkingdom024.jpg

There was barely any people in line so when the doors opened we were able to get great seats! I was sad to see that the arena didn't fill up much more than with the people that were in line. We have seen this show many times and it's always packed. I guess the attendance was low since this was the first show of the day.

Brendan was not happy and Jason ended up having to take him out of the arena. I was bummed about this but I was excited that Aubrey would be able to see it. When they came around and started teaching the sound that our section was supposed to make, the guy asked Aubrey to come down and help. She froze and wouldn't move. Oh well. We were the Lions, a first for me, so that was cool.

The show started and I just got the feeling that the performers weren't really into it. I can't say that I blame them, with the small crowd, it was like they were performing for no one. I did take a few pics. Notice the empty bleachers in the background...

animalkingdom031.jpg

This guy came right up to me and waited for me to take his picture. It turned out to be one of my favorites!

animalkingdom041.jpg

Then the ending, my favorite part...

animalkingdom048.jpg

Sadly, Aubrey was not very amused and couldn't get out of there fast enough. Oh well, next trip she'll be more into, I hope!
