Hello, my 21st birthday is coming up and I really want to go to Disney world for it. I'm just a bit confused on the whole forms of identification thing. I see people posting about actually being able to celebrate on their actual 21st birthday but you can't get your license till that day! Do they accept the vertical license or passports?

As long as you have some sort of if that has your face and birthday on it you are fine

If Iger was telling the truth all the Cast Members should already know when you walk by due to your Magic Band.

You should be fine. I would only worry if the vertical license was going to expire.

Vertical licenses aren't actually issued by all states, and many do not expire them quickly at all. It is theoretically possible to have the same AZ license from the age of 18 through 65 without renewing it, and are only to assist in identifying underage, the DOB on the license itself is still what matters.

TL;DR: Don't worry about it, plenty of 21 year olds buy alcohol on vertical licenses in all states. :)

OP: And if you have a passport, as your question suggests, surely you have nothing to worry about? That's the ultimate form of ID! :)
