I read in a post not long ago that they were going to change turkey legs to chicken legs. This post was about how Disney is trying to go healthy.....
Please tell me that you can still find turkey legs in the park. My son keeps talking about them and I think he would be heartbroken without them

Don't worry, they're still there. I don't think they'll ever get rid of those things - they're too popular and iconic. But, I've been wrong before. Anyway, to answer your question - as of now they are there. I had some recently, in fact. And yes, they are as delicious as they smell. They taste EXACTLY like ham. Very moist inside.

The skin isn't too edible though and you must be careful of the bones!

ah, no WONDER I hate the very smell of the things... I HATE ham! I can't imagine eating one if they taste like they smell. No, thanks.

Of course, I wouldn't order chicken legs to eat, either.

On our first few trips to WDW when we were on a tight budget Turkey Legs made a great lunch because we could feed our family of 4 on one Turkey Leg. After one of those puppies for lunch we couldn't eat again til dinner.:rotfl2:

Now that we always get the Dining Plan we forgo that greasy pleasure.

I would have to agree that I would have to pass on those things! They look like an autopsy gone wrong to me. One can only imagine that if they were to taste as bad as they both smell and look, one would be sick for a while...sorry gang.

Like, what if one of you guys out there hated Churros...now that would be okay...more CHURROS for us!!! :cloud9:

But then again, I ask you...could anyone really dislike a Churro?

:hippie: and :lovestruc

even to those Turkey Leg eaters out there!!!! :thumbsup2

In early August and they were very good,I do not see Disney doing away with them. All four parks had a place you could get a Turkey Leg.:goodvibes :thumbsup2

FORTUNATELY for the rest of us....love it love it love it. I have made a full trek around AK to get to the turkey leg cart!!! I first had a turkey leg at a renaissance faire in Illinois and years later, discovered them at WDW!!! Hooray!!!

Evidently there are way more turkey leg lovers than haters since we turkey leg lovers sometimes have to wait for more to get ready before we can have our favorite iconic WDW pleasure. These things are great!!! I was sitting on the American pavillion eating one while DS18, DD17, and DD's BFF were eating chicken nuggets and burgers and I had over a dozen people ask me where did I get it and was it really as good as it looked. I told them where and that YES, it definitely was as good as it looked and smelled!!! YUM!!! (Having more in two weeks!!!! )

Me and my five family members absolutely love them...
A trip to Disney would not be complete without one...
I could never eat them on a daily basis or probably not even that often if they were available to me when I wanted but because they are a treat we have while in WDW they are sooooo much better!

We took our pastors family with us one year and his wife almost got sick litterly just watching us eat them (she thought they looked like muscles and tendons) lol... We brought one home for her from our followng trip and her husband ended up with it after we all sang "Be our Guest" to her hehehe...
Btw the other four memebers of her family loved them too!
