Turkey Day Gang 2009

Way to go Chuck, Lisa, and Mason! A great way to celebrate the end of the school year. (or the beginning, or the middle.....). I'm sure that the FL rates are really good this year.

Chuck - I well remember that night the Colts packed up.

We have late seating too. And, what do you mean by only 1 time? I haven't been keeping up lately.

Sherri - the staggered rotation used to be early at 5:30, 5:45 & 6:00, late at 8:00, 8:15 and 8:30. Now it is 5:45 and 8:15.

ahh ok - good to know - so my dinner time will be 5:45 each night - ok - that is do-able...

I am trying to watch this thread on the main page about how we get the Transportation from Hyatt to the port - someone said we get our boarding # and KTTW cards at the airport now --- I have not had this happen before - anyone know anything about it?

Are you referring to the Disney transportation?

We have used cbshuttle.com. Its quite a bit cheaper than the Disney transportation (esp with more people). They pick up at the airport and drop off at the port or any hotel in the Cocoa Beach/Port Canaveral area.

Boy have I been away from the boards for awhile. I have about 10 pages to catch up on.

Lisa, if you are talking about linking late dinners together then April and I would like to be included.

Lisa, I detect a little bitterness about what the Irsays(sp?) did back in '83. I totally agree that it was cowardly and I have not forgiven them for that. And I am not a Colts fan by any means. Hey I am a Gator fan and Peyton is a Volunteer. SEC rivals!!!! I am a Jaguars fan, so let the insults come down on me!!!!:rotfl:

I will be finalizing a dinner link around August and for those who have asked, yes I will be able to keep family groups together, though if larger than 10, they will likely have 2 adjoining tables (which will happen anyway I have been led to believe as I think 10 is generally the largest table).

And I have never forgiven the Irsays either.

But we are Canes fans - season tix and major tailgate - them swamp critters are the enemy..LOL

Just checking in to say hello! Congrats on that new cruise, it sounds great! Not much new here, just work and more work. DB and DSIL just got back from a week at the park and had a great time.

Now it is 5:45 and 8:15.

Um, how late can one be to dinner and still be served dinner??
(Not planning to be late, but....)

Oooooo, there are times (like DCL discounts) when I miss being a FL resident!! Friends in Tampa just scooped up a date in June -- same as our Eastern itinerary, so I can't wait to hear all about it! popcorn::

well we just scooped up a June date too, but a 3 day...that is nice thing about being Florida resident...we get resident rates, but since they are released close to sailing it is also b/c we dont need airfare...also we have done an eastern before so if there are any questions feel free to ask.

Chuck:cool1:

:cool1::cool1::cool1:

YEAH! I just booked our airfare for our flight from BWI to MCO!!!!! $67 each on Air Tran. Now hoping that somehow we'll get good airfare to come back. We're going to fly now!

We're not driving !!!!! YEAH!!!

I know!! How fantastic!!! I'm having wishful thinking to (a) cruise on a moment's notice and (b) not have to worry about airfare! I have a feeling we're going to be driving....

I don't have any questions per se about the cruise -- I just like to hear every detail! And there aren't as many Eastern trip reports out there as there are Western. So I look forward to living vicariously through her description before I get to see it for myself. :goodvibes

Congrats Sherreis on scooping up a great deal! I browsed, but still hedging bets on Southwest. :rolleyes1 C'mon June 23!

Well we have done the eastern and like both St Thomas and St Maarten - though we were doing a fair bit of shopping in each place. We also did the America's Cup yacht racing in St Maarten which was easily the best shore excursion we have ever taken and plan on doing it again this year...only catch is no kids under 16, but it only lasts a couple hours and Mason does not mind being left on the boat (in fact he generally prefers to be left back). Only real problem w/an eastern on Thanksgiving means only one stop at CC instead of the usual 2 (b/c Key West has the regatta that week and is unavailable).

I will happily give up the extra stop at cc if I do not have to go to Key West:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 I my opinion Key West is a totally worthless stop. Very little to do ...once you have been there no reason to go back.

Rob

oh i agree - key west is not very exciting and even less so for us since we can easily drive there..but not this time...we go east instead

We have done some good Western cruises on the other "Guys" that had great ports.

Speaking of the other guys we have an eight day cruise on the Carnival Freedom in mid July that is an eastern with great ports out of Fort Laudrdale

Hi everyone!

Just wondering-which beach or beach excursion do any of you recommend for St. Maarten?

Have a good weekend!

Tracy

here is a link to go view Renee's Prom Pics from last night - Phew Thank goodness it is over!! :worship::worship::worship: I do not even want to calculate how much we spent on this prom --

I found JetBlue for 1167.00 from 11/15-11/28 rt from boston - how does that sound everyone with Airlines Savvy! ? ! ? !

Beautiful photos! Loved the dress and the hair!! Looks like the weather cooperated, too. Ahhhh, the prom... :goodvibes

Can't comment on your air $$ because I'm NOT airline savvy. As long as YOU'RE happy, that's what matters. Did you check all possible airlines? Are you happy with the flight times? If so, that's one more piece of the planning you can put behind you! :thumbsup2
