Turkey day dinner - DL hotel Ballroom ??

ok, so finally got a reservation at the DL Ballroom at 4:45 pm for Turkey day!! WOO HOOO.
Can anyone tell me about this.. I hear there is a choc. fountain etc? Any tips on food or characters first.
It was a tad spendy but it sounds fabulous!!

Lucky you - I just found out that I have to bring the sweet potatoes (about 10 miles away from where you will be)! That's why we never get to eat at DLH for the holiday meals.

I haven't heard about Thanksgiving Dinner, but I really am aching to get in on the Mother's Day Brunch this coming year. I have heard so many good things about it (it's a Princess for the Day theme) and my girls would love the theme and the character interaction.

I have been to the Mother's Day Brunch, several years back. It was set up buffet style. There was so much food, and everything was yummy. I remember Mary Poppins and Bert were there but I do not remember any other characters. There was a chocolate fountain, and lots of goodies for dipping.

Yes there is a chocolate fountain - I went last year and will be there next week too.

BUT, you cannot dip your own. There is a CM there who dips whatever you want from the little selection - marshmallows, strawberries, etc. They put each on a little stick for you and set it on your plate. (So, you can't load up on dipped goods - it would be kinda rude to hold up the station for everyone else )

Let me just add - those green leaves on the red dessert? Totally edible, but do NOT taste good. The gold leaf is also edible (and doesn't taste like anything).

I don't think I could identify any of those except for the marshmallow and the two in cups - the one with a cherry is chocolate mousse, and the one in the square cup is chocolate raspberry mousse.

People go dressy casual - I wore black pants and a silk top, but everyone else was in nice sweaters (which is what I'm going for this year).

Kids can get away with being as festive as they want, of course

Also, they have a kid's table, with stuff like tater tots, mini pizzas, etc. (Adults are allowed to eat this stuff too )

If I see any little turkeys runnin' around, I'll know they're yours!
