Hi everyone!!

We just bacame DVC members on Sunday. We already had vacation plans in the works...becoming members just changed the hotel. We will now be staying at Treehouse Villas for 9 nights.

My question is....has anyone eaten at Turf Bar and Grill?? what did you think of the food? Just trying tofigure out a good first night dinner and figured this would work since we are already at that resort. I just don't ever remember seeing any reviews on it!

Thanks!!:goodvibes

We are dvc members and SSR is our home. We LOVE the Turf Club. The food is great and its so nice to relax close to home. Book it and enjoy!

NOTE: The Turf Club is a bar-eatery inside SSR.
It's somewhat small, but is OK because it gets few
guests. The luncheon sandwiches are very tasty
and fairly priced, but the dinner entrées are well
below average and overpriced. (C'mon, pasta with
shrimp for $20 ?) We prefer to make a meal of the
appetizers and desserts, which are quite good and
reasonably priced.
By the way, the Apple Crisp and
Lemon Pound Cake are great. Now, if we can only get
the slow wait staff service to speed up.

My DH & I LOVE the turf club! We've eaten there many times, lunch & dinner. We've always had great service, and the food is always very good!:thumbsup2

We ate there on our recent trip and it was good for the most part. I will have a review and pics in my TR very soon as it was our arrival day dinner.

Four of us (all adults) ate there Sunday night...good, not great. We ate on the patio which was pleasant but no views from where we sat or anything to make it particularly noteworthy or memorable. Food was fine but nothing special.

thanks everyone for your replys! I think we will book dinner here on our first night. We land at MCO at about 4pm and I don't really want to rush into the parks and stuff....so i think a nice dinner at our resort will work perfectly!:thumbsup2

I tried Turf Club for the first time on a trip in April. It was perfectly ordinary. Service and food were fine, but nothing spectacular or memorable. I might return sometime in the future, but it is not high on my list of 1 TS restaurants.

we had it for lunch upon our arrival while waiting for our room. he had a bacon bbq burger which had a mix of regular and sweet potato fries with it. i had the fish and chips with regular fries and we both thought it was awful. he's not picky like me and he thought sometime tasted off too. fries were good though!! even though it was empty in there service was super slow--we weren't in a hurry so it wasn't a big deal. i've heard realllllllllly good things about it for dinner and would like to try it out sometime.

OP Welcome Home!!!!!!!!

Love the Turf Club

SSR is my home resort as well

I love the Turf Club. Great food. And if the weather is nice enough to sit outside, the view is spectacular. You won't be disappointed. :goodvibes

Agreed. Like most TS eateries at WDW, it's along the lines of Applebees or Chilis with respect to the food quality. Add about 30 per cent to those nationwide chains and you'll be somewhere in the neighborhood on price.
Most of what is offered at WDW isn't bad at all, just over-priced for what you get. Most of us work up a pretty healthy appetite during our trips so the food hits the spot more often than not:earsboy:

We love it!! We stayed at SSR for the first time last fall and had a wonderful meal so much so we are having dinner there on our next trip even though we are staying at AKV
