I just want to know how to update my profile picture and add bookmarks for future reference.

You would click on your name and that should take you to where you can edit your profile and image. It may be one of those features that you need at least 10 posts before you can do it. Private messages also become available once you have 10 posts.

Go to the Game Board to get yourself some extra posts......that's what i do.
