turbo tax ??

The turbo tax program came with my new computer but I was wondering, what is the fee to file if you use turbo tax? I've already filled out H & R block online and the cost to complete the process for both state and federal is about $64. Is turbo tax less expensive? I've never done the taxes myself, have always gone into H & R to have them do the work but this year the taxes were pretty basic and simple so I couldn't see paying alot of $$ to have them fill in the blanks. Thanks

If it's like TaxCut, it won't cost you any extra to print it out and send it through the mail. OR you can pay their fee to e-file. Mine's going in the mail.

I think the fee to file federal income tax on-line with Turbo Tax or Tax Cut is $14.95.

I think it cost me around $50 to buy my Turbo Tax software, then it was something like $14.95 to file electronically, but I got a rebate back on that for purchasing the software. It was, I think, $10.95 to file my state electronically.

Yes, if you already have the program, I think the cost to submitit electronically is $14.95. If you want to mail your copies in, then it would be free.

$14.95 for the Federal Return sounds right to me. Purchasing the software usually includes a rebate form for the fee -- not sure if you get that if it came installed on your computer. TurboTax also charged a fee to file the state return but I discovered I could file for free at CT's home tax site.

You can get into TurboTax and get the exact information on the fees from withn the program.

Of course, printing and mailing only costs you the postage.

I thought $14.95 was for the EZ Form. $29.95 included the long form & State Taxes.
