Bumblebee gold can. It's the only one I can eat. I like it, like you like it.

We buy the Chicken of the Sea HUGE cans. Albacore packed in water. We divide it up into small portions and freeze it. Whenever we want some tuna we just thaw it out. For me, this tuna has the best taste. Not fishy at all.

I never liked tunafish until Starkist came out with their pouches. Now I get the water packed kind. :thumbsup2

Solid in water all the way for me! Chunky just tastes so different, ick.

I am spoiled my brother works a seafood company. We get the top of the line Tuna its the only stuff Ill eat now. :)

It has to be packed in water and all white those are my criteria LOL.

Starkist Chunk Light packed in water...usually in those nifty bags. Sometimes I buy the solid white albacore, if I'm in Sam's. I'm the only in the family that doesn't really like tuna. It was my mom's favorite, along with hot dogs. Burn out......

:thumbsup2 Anything else is a waste of money, I don't care what kind of sale the stores are having.

I always bought white albacore, but recently changed my tuna buying habits after reading the EPA info ;) :

What's the difference between canned albacore "white" tuna and canned "light" tuna? Their mercury levels, according to a recent fish advisory by federal agencies.

Last week, the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for the first time gave joint advice on what types of fish are best to eat for those concerned about toxicity from mercury. Because that metal pollutant is harmful to the developing brain, health officials suggest that pregnant women, nursing mothers, women who may become pregnant, and young children reduce their intake of mercury.

The officials advised similar limits on canned light tuna. However, they recommend only 6 ounces—that is, one average meal—of canned albacore tuna. That distinction is based on the most recent results of an FDA study that shows that the canned albacore variety has more mercury than canned light tuna does. On average, canned albacore contained mercury at 0.35 parts per million, while light tuna had 0.12 ppm.

McBride explains that canned albacore tuna has more mercury than light tuna has because the albacore are larger and longer-lived than the skipjack species that often make up canned light tuna. Last year, McBride and his colleagues independently examined canned tuna. They measured mercury concentrations in the contents of 130 cans of white tuna and 159 cans of light tuna. Their results were similar to those from FDA's study; mercury levels in white tuna were higher—by about 0.15 ppm—than in light tuna. This difference appeared regardless of whether the tuna had been packed in oil or water and whether it was chunky or solid.

Guess I'm back to the "light" version! :goodvibes

When we were younger my mother used to get the chunk light (probably because it was cheaper). Now that I do the shopping I get solid albacore in water only. Made the mistake of oil once, never again. So gross!!

Bumble Bee or Chicken of the Sea usually...

HMMMM. I have to think about the above post.

I like the Solid White Albacore, if its on sale I buy it. I buy Trader Joes Tuna in water the rest of the time. TJ just came out with a new Wild Tuna.

I'm confussed now. :confused3

Regular tuna, in water and definately prefer the pouches over the can.

WOW!!! OP HERE: YOU DISer's are all so A W E S O M E!!!! :thumbsup2

THANK YOU THANK YOU :thanks: :thanks: for all the replies....I am printing off
this Thread and in my purse to the store!!!! :thumbsup2
