Good Morning Riddlers! Send me a PM when you have the correct answer! :)

Lou was in a terrible hurry. He had to work as quickly as possible to cut a very heavy 10 foot plank into 10 equal sections. If it takes 1 minute per cut, how long will it take him to get the 10 equal pieces?

Morning Dyan

I am in!

Ah Meadowhall. My county's answer to the American malls (tho, having been to both, I can tell you its not as good sadly).

Who's with me?

Ok Angel, come along :)

Looks like a great trip Melissa! Is that a Woolworths in the picture? We used to have Woolworth's (like a big five and dime).

Yep its a Woolworths. It has shut down now. But my home town has a huge one. Not sure what a five and dime is lol. Woolworths is just a really good store that has lots of things you might need lol. Kinda like a Target but really really scaled down!

Cya,

They have one of these too (tho' not as big as the one in the photo!)

I remember when Meadowhall first opened (1990 - gosh 16 yrs ago!) we went and we were at the Disney store around closing time. Well all the CMs walked to the front of the store and sang a 'closing' song - it was just like being back at Disney, well, almost!

Who knows when they stopped doing that lol. I'm pretty sure the CMs probably got fed up of it real quick ;)

Melissa a five and dime is a very old term for stores that used to sell things for five cents and ten cents.

Morning Riddlers. I think I am in :thumbsup2

Can't wait to shop!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the explanation Lou. I think that Woolworths was probably Britain's equivalent of a five and dime in 'the good ol' days' but it certainly costs a bit more than that to shop there now ;)

Right, I've gotta actually go do that shopping now so have fun everyone and behave ;)

Good morning, all. PM sent!
