Looks like a great trip Melissa! Is that a Woolworths in the picture? We used to have Woolworth's (like a big five and dime).

Yep its a Woolworths. It has shut down now. But my home town has a huge one. Not sure what a five and dime is lol. Woolworths is just a really good store that has lots of things you might need lol. Kinda like a Target but really really scaled down!

I remember when Meadowhall first opened (1990 - gosh 16 yrs ago!) we went and we were at the Disney store around closing time. Well all the CMs walked to the front of the store and sang a 'closing' song - it was just like being back at Disney, well, almost!

Who knows when they stopped doing that lol. I'm pretty sure the CMs probably got fed up of it real quick

Thanks for the explanation Lou. I think that Woolworths was probably Britain's equivalent of a five and dime in 'the good ol' days' but it certainly costs a bit more than that to shop there now
