TTS resale closed...time to get into DVC system?

if I remember correctly it took just under a week after our resale closed.

There is no harm in calling prior to seven days to inquire, but I would say to give them at least 3 - 5 business days.

It took about a week from the date I passed ROFR until I got the clsing docs emailed to me. From then it took 14 days (mainly b/c the seller was slack at getting forms back) to officialy close. Now we are waiting the 7-10 days to be in the DVC system.

We used TTS and it took almost 3 months from start to finish, mainly b/c the seller was slow at responding to docs and requests.

Lately, I am seeing it reported that TTS is slow in getting their paperwork to Disney so it is taking a full 10 days to get in the system. If it takes longer, call. There are some whose paperwork actually never made it to Disney.

The time from ROFR to closing is running just about 3-4 weeks. We passed on 4/14 and are tentatively scheduled to close on 5/12. That is 6 weeks from start to finish.

Part of the time line includes how long it takes to get the estoppels back from Dis (after ROFR) so you can close. We have purchased 2 contracts through GMAC and are THISCLOSE to closing on a VB contract through them. There was a big difference in how long it took the estoppels to come back. So far, the amount of time to prepare the closing docs has been the same, so I assume once I send my stuff back, assuming the seller is timely, it will take about 2 - 3 weeks before it's recorded and off to Dis to be input into the system!!!

Contracts 1 & 2
* Passed ROFR on 1/31
* Estoppels back on 2/17
* Received closing docs on 2/21
* Deed was recorded on 3/7

Contract 3
* Passed ROFR on 3/13
* Estoppels came back on 4/21 (Dis took much longer)
* Received closing docs on 4/25

Wow, Buckeye Fan, you have been a busy buyer!! Are those purchases this year only? Our process is a little different since we bought HHI which requires and attorney. The info I posted above is based on others that I know who have purchased WDW DVC's.

My deed was submitted to Disney on the 15th. I'm still waiting on receiving my points as my contract some how didn't make it to Disney. I'm hoping Monday or Tuesday will be the day.

No. We purchased the two SSR contracts last year. We love the beach and wanted to make sure we could do a beach/WDW combo once a year, so that's why we added on at VB. All I can say is I sure hope we like it! I've never purchased anything sight-unseen in my life!

I don't think you can go wrong with Disney anything. We toured with DVC 7 years ago and they were selling HHI. We purchased Marriott instead. We have looked at pictures and we walked around the resort but didn't see a room; we relied on the pictures.

I agree. If you've seen one DVC, you've seen them all. Well, I should say that you know what to expect, and I am peachy with that!

I received word last Monday that the contract closed. Called today and I was in the system and made a reservation.

Wow, you are lucky. I know at least 3 people who waited at least 10 days and in some cases longer that bought thru TTS.
