I am a bit confused as to what time the buses start and finish running between the TTC and AS Movies. I wanted to use this service after a meal at the Polynesian - the MK will have closed by then and the last bus from there will have gone.

Sounds to me like you will have to take a bus from Poly to Downtown Disney/Pleasure Island and switch to a bus that goes back to your hotel. I believe those buses run until 2amish. We've had to do this a couple of times. It's not so bad. Good Luck.
