TTC to Epcot - How long?

Staying at the Poly and I'm surprising my DH with a Segway tour.Shhh! Don't tell him!! Anyway, we are supposed to be at Epcot at 9am, which, by the way is opening time. How long will it take us to get to Epcot from TTC on the monorail? I was planning on leaving the Poly at 8:30.. is this too late?? ..Do you suggest we drive instead??

Once the monorail leaves TTC it's a 10 minute ride. What you need to factor in is a wait time for the monorail and the 5 - 10 minutes to exit at EC and make it through the turnstiles. Also, I'm not sure where the
Segway tours originate, but that could add another 10 minutes or so
to your walk. My suggestion would be to be at TTC at 8:15.

8:15 it is!!! This is going to be DH least favorite thing to do while he is on vacation...Getting up early!!! LOL

One thing to consider is that the Epcot monorail may not run as frequently so much earlier than park opening, so a typical 5-10 minute wait for a monorail may turn into a 15-20 minute wait. Personally I would be at the TTC at 8:00. You don't want to be late for a tour that you paid lots of money for!

We were at the Polynesian in March and my oldest son had received a gift of a Segway tour from his fiancee. I also thought 8:15 was a good time to leave but it was closer to 8:30 by the time he did. Well, the monorail had "mechanical difficulties." He entered EPCOT right about 9 if I remember correctly and was told to run to try to catch up. He did and had an absolute blast. But if you have a car, I would drive!
