TTC thread take 2

I just wanted to share this with you girls. This is my college graduation photo from The University of Tulsa, circa Dec. 2002. I was 25. (Went to a community college for three years beforehand)

Yup, that's Kennywife, er Gabbie, and that ring on my finger is the promise ring I wore from Kenny for years before we were even engaged. Two months later, I got in an accident that crushed my tibia femur bone in my lower right leg and had to learn to walk all over again. :sad2: The accident led me to working at home which led me to the job I have now. So, I guess things do happen for a reason.

Even though it hurt like he!!.

well it might still be early but..BFN today. :sad1:

Friday is my beta. That's only TWO days away

It't not over yet sister! Keep the faith. I realize this is easier said than done but just know we are praying for you.

ME TOO!!!

The RE office just called. They said to do the ovidrel shot tonight - they said we should go for it with one mature folicle.

Great news! Sending mucho baby dust your way!

I'm going to have to call my dx. I am having seizures and it's all the metformin's fault!:sad2:

I had another grand mal last night...this time, I was awake. (A grand mal is one where you convulse or shake. I don't have those. I have Petit. The staring kind, often mistakened for ADD).

Anyhoo, I'm not taking this med anymore. Not if it causes this. Not with WDW 4 weeks away. :headache:

Back to the drawing board.

I'm so sorry about the seizures, Gabbie!

Does the medicine cause grand mal seizures when you usually have petit mal instead?

Gabbie, I'm so sorry girl. This must be really hard to deal with. I hope the dr has an answer for you

Awww Poooh! I'm sorry sister:hug: It takes alot out of you i'm sure. Is there any way you could go off for now and then maybe adjust the dosage to something lower and see how that works? Hope your dr. comes up with a better alternative for you.

That's what I'm thinking Elizabeth. I don't have grand mals. I have the small ones...if you could call them that. What's so scary is that if there is even a remote chance I'm pregnant or could become pregnant (still no AF even though I've had two neg. pregnancy tests), I can't have those kinds of seizures. It could harm me and the baby.

MommaSW ~ How goes it lady?

Cheri ~ Thinkin bout you sister:hug:

Just got off the phone with the Donor Company. Holy poohballs there are alot of moving parts! The cost is kinda blowing my mind a bit and I'm not gonna lie I almost threw up a little in my mouth. . . I think I need a drink AND some time to really absorb this conversation.

PS by the way my b00bs are killing me! You would think that AF as due any minute but I just got done:confused3 Sugar honeypie igloo toys~:headache:

I'm going for some Mickey Dees. . . Comfort food I tell ya!

Ellis- I bet your tummy will enjoy that McDs! I know that my tummy always feels so much better after fast food  NOT! :lmao:

We are doing just fine here. Funny how interesting having "timed" sessions  can be. Kinda takes the fun out our it in some ways. The scheduled part.

Ladies - you are all in my prayers!

Oh Gabbie, that really stinks, I'm sorry. I hope they figure something out to stop those!!

Cherbear- I am thinking of you. I really hope that test was wrong:hug:

Anyway, I wanted any advice or words of wisdom from those of you that have had an HSG done. My doctor just gave me a referral for one, but I have to set up the appointment still, and it is sort of our last step. If my tubes are messed up we'll call it quits and if they are open, then we'll continue waiting and crossing our fingers. I heard taking some advil before hand can help...?

Thinking of all of you and sending all good vibes your way!

When I had mine done it wasn't so bad. Took Alieve before and it was uncomfortable but no too painful. Made me cramp a lot afterwards but no different than AF cramps.

I didn't find it bad at all. I also took advil before. Of course, my tubes weren't really blocked (did find "something" in my uterus that I ended up having a hysteroscopy to find out what it was later on). I think the more blocked your tubes are, the more pain you may experience. I was terrified before the HSG because I had read how painful it was, but I didn't find it bad. Maybe I was thinking it was going to be so bad that the pain I did have felt like nothing. I even went to work afterwards.

My dx took me off Metformin. I don't know where I'll be going from here right now. So frustrated. At least I won't have grand mals anymore, I hope.
