TTC thread take 2

My dx took me off Metformin. I don't know where I'll be going from here right now. So frustrated. At least I won't have grand mals anymore, I hope.

Gabbie

Sorry bout the frustration! Have you googled the Metformin? Maybe there is somehting like that drug that won't give you seizers?

PSA ~ Drinking a few (way to many) beers in one night and eating a ham and cheese sandwhich and choclate chip cookie dough right before bed WILL make you puke. . . nuff said. . .

I was a little stressed last night after the conversation with the Egg donor lady. Money scares me. Mike not so much, he gets it and of course had worked out a plan. . . God I'm lucky:goodvibes There are still alot of variables ie: what if this doesn't work? what if it works but I miscarry; how many times will it take? again, what if it doesn't work? i told him that they are all the same questions that one has when you are doing it the old fashioned way and since I have never been pregnant I don't know my chances. He understood which was good. I also told him that I knew that this was a VERY expensive undertaking but that the REGRET of not doing it would be far more expensive emotionally. "What if?" is not a question I want to drive myself/us crazy with for the rest of our lives. We have way to much to do. . . ;)

On a lovely note, my neice Katie called me last night and asked me to be her confirmation sponsor in November! So excited bout that, touched and honored too:goodvibes!

How's everyone doin? Cheri? MommaSW?

Cheri -
Just wanted to check in with you - I was thinking your beta was today. Keeping my fingers crossed.

And as always I'm thinking and praying for all you ladies :)

:lmao:

My question is how many you had before your niece called! ;)

I get the stress about money. I can't imagine how stressed I would be if we were spending the money it takes to IVF or donor.

Hey Cheri- you're on my mind today!

Cherbear, crossing my fingers for you. And sorry the egg process is getting stressful Esbrick, I hope it all works out!

Can I just say I hate insurance companies? I am trying to set up the HSG and this is how it has gone-

Call 1 from doctor's office- "We called your insurance and nothing will be covered, it will cost $2,000"

Call 2 to the insurance- "Yes, it will be 100% covered by us"

Call 3- "yes, we will cover it, but you need authorization before proceeding"

Call 4- "Can I get authorization"... "um, you don't need authorization, so no"

Call 5- "You don't need authorization, but you have a $2,000 lifetime infertility limit and since you have already used some you might not have any leftover to pay for this procedure"

What??? I don't even know if I can believe anyone I call at United Healthcare anymore and I don't want a surprise $2,000 bill in the mail just because I wanted to know if my tubes were open :sad2:

God bless her she called when I had just started my first. . .God at least I hope so:rotfl: Kidding, nope really I was good up until the point I lost count. We both desided at some point (I think it was after we opened the bag of potatoe chips. . . did I mention that I ate potatoe chips too? Yep just call me rock star:thumbsup2) that the damage was done and to own it and go all the way! Dumb butts! I know but usually one of us says "enough". Some how last night that word never entered into our beer infused conversation. . .:rolleyes1

Ugh. Sorry to complain so much today guys, but three more phone calls and a couple of tears later and nevermind... no HSG test for me, it won't be covered. Thanks for all the advice though.

Can you pass the potato chips this way Esbrick? I would like some cookie dough too please ;) 29 days till I leave for Disneyland and boy do I need it!

Poohballs and sugar honey iced tea! I'm sorry! The beer infused potatoe chip/ cookie dough combo really helped last night, again not so much at 2:30 this am but last night, pure pleasure! Sometimes ya just gotta do it:thumbsup2

Awww crap! Insurance stuff stinks. :sad1:

I will be at The World while you are at The Land!

Kronk, I'm so sorry! $2000 for an HSG sounds high. I think mine was around $600. Still pricey, but not nearly as bad as $2000!

Cheri, I hope you you received some good news today!!

E, thinking of you. It's such a tough decision to spend so much money on a maybe. But I agree, I don't think I would live with the "what if" for the rest of my life either. :goodvibes

Gabbie, Sorry the Metformin messed up you so much. How scarey! The Metformin wasn't my miracle drug like it is for others. I quit taking it 5-6 months BEFORE I got my BFP. Now, I manage my blood sugar just with diet. I wasn't sure if my Dr was going to put me back on the Metformin but she didn't. Diet is working so far. Maybe that's all you need, too!

Nothing big to post today...just wanted to see my ticker. LOL.

Dang! I got out of bed this morning...jumped right back in. It's cold outside today! Fall is here! :yay:

On the up side, it'll be 80 degrees when we go to Disney and 50's at night. :):dance3:

Morning girls! A rainy cold day today in IL! Poohballs I wasn't thinkin the weather would change this quick! Had a lovely weekend and alot of cleaning /sorting and stabilizing the house AND my mind! We received the paperwork from the Egg Donor place and we need to have it back by Wednesday. I think I have most of it filled out, just need to look over some more things, so onwards and upwards. . .

I'm tired this am. Mike had trouble sleeping which kept me up and the weather isn't helping this am! Would love to be wrapped up on the couch with a cup of tea and wrapped in a blankie:goodvibes

Hope everyone is well!

It's cold here this morning in Michigan! YUCK! Not ready for fall.

I know what you mean. What happened to summer? :confused3 It was in the upper 30s here last night w/ patchy frost. :scared1:

Well, auntie F should be checking in this week - JOY!! Wish I was heading to Dinsey with some of you. Any room in your luggage?

Cher - How are you doing? Been thinking of you a lot lately.

E - Excited for you that the process is moving along. We'll try to take your mind off the money and how complicated this process is. Hugs!
