I’ve had pre-check for 7 years. It was pretty new when I first got it. I was actually signing up for global entry and they gave a cute presentation on why this was an additional perk. My husband always flew on the same itinerary as myself, never got pre-check. I’d take all the carry-ons and get a Starbucks and come back and wait for him in the regular line. (yea, it used to be a huge time saver...) He finally caved and signed up for global entry for himself.
