TS places in 2008

Have the table service restaurants been as booked/busy this year as they were last year? Basically, I was wondering if the dining plan changes has reduced the number of people eating at the TS places.

I'm not using the dining plan for my trips this year and I was wondering on whether it was getting easier to walk-up.

I don't know about this year but I know for the past three or four years, I have seen soooo many people being told they have no room for walk ups. I wouldn't go to WDW without at least three or four ADRs.

Yes, I was hoping to be able to make maybe one ADR every other day and then walk up for my other ones. But of course, if the places are too packed, I will be back to an ADR for every day and then cancelling if I change plans/don't feel like it.

To be on the safe side I'd book ahead and cancel if you plans or preferences change.

We used to go to WDW with only one or two table service meals but that was when we weren't on the dining plan. After buying the dining plan, I didn't realize how tired we got of eating chicken strips, burgers and pizza. It seems like many of the counter service restaurants are offering more of a variety of foods.


I think I'd dlike you said, at least book a table service meal every other day.

Then, if you were turned away from your "walk ups", you could seek out the nicer counter service meals.

We won't go without ADR's. We've seen way too many walk-ups being turned away.
