We decided to add a day to our trip in August yay! Anyway, I still need to use another TS credit. Im thinking of doing breakfast on our check out day as sort of a farewell to vaca. Im thinking a character meal because our 2 year old LOVES mickey/minnie but we already have 4 other character meals throughout the trip so Im not set on that. I was leaning towards Ohana or Cape May Cafe. We did breakfast at Ohana 10 years ago and I don't remember how the food was. Ive heard good things about Cape May. So my question is, what is a good place to do TS breakfast on our last day? Preferably not a park restaurant but not opposed to it because we will still have a day left on our tickets. It doesn't necessarily have to be a character meal.

Advice/suggestions?

Well my daughter is 18 but we still do at least one breakfast at Ohana. Another place that can be fun is 1900 Park Fare. Occasionally Pooh is there but the Mad Hatter makes the place for us.

We've never done Cape May but we do like Ohana Breakfast. If you are character meal heavy and don't want to do it, Kona Cafe at the Poly is a nice breakfast. No characters but nice scenery and good food. Little pricey but not as much as Ohana.

It looks like you're staying at Art of Animation, based on your ticker. For a morning TS, I would find Ohana/Polynesian to be slightly easier to get to than Cape May/Beach Club. The monorail seems to run more frequently in the morning than the friendship boats, at least in my own experience. Also, being that its your last day, I would find it more fun to ride the monorail around and stroll the Polynesian than it would be to stroll the Beach Club.

The breakfast at trattoria is awesome! I did both Cape May and Trattoria last year and both were quite good. I would love to try Park Fare as well, but we love dinner there so we never book breakfast.

Where are you staying and what time do you need to leave the resort on your departure day?

As someone else noticed we are staying at Art of Animation :)

We want to be back at the resort to check out (I believe that’s 11 am). We don’t need to leave for the airport right away so we could enjoy the pool for a bit.

Thanks! If you think it would be easier to get to then we will do Ohana. My older daughter loves Stitch. I did want to do Cape May but perhaps it’s better for a day we don’t need to head back to the resort to check out. I’ve just heard mixed reviews on the food at Ohana...

If it doesn't have to a character meal, then try Boma at AKL. Then watch the animals out on the savanna.

If your set on a character breakfast then I would try to get into O'Hanas. We really enjoyed the breakfast there and loved that it wasn't a buffet. If you're willing to go outside the character dining arena, I recommend Olivia's at OKW or Kona Cafe at Poly. Both delicious and inventive with options ( as well as the old favorites ).

For what it’s worth, we were reluctant to have breakfast at Ohana last August. I’m glad we went ahead and did it anyway. The food was good (it was standard eggs, waffles, sausage for the most part but I could have made a meal out of the fresh fruit and the pineapple bread). Our service was great, our character interactions were some of the best we had all week. Lilo and Stitch especially spent a lot of time with us. We never felt rushed. Our 2 yo had a great time joining the parade around the dining room shaking the maraca they gave him.

We also love Kona, I wouldn’t tell anyone to skip breakfast there.

If you have a car, I would totally choose Cape May over Ohana. If no car then Ohana would be easier, unless you take a Minnie van

So I think I managed to schedule Ohana for a few days earlier and do Cape May on our last day. We will get a Minnie van. I really wanted to try Cape May. But now I’m thinking I want to try Boma too!!! Decisions decisions

You could always check out before you go to breakfast and store your bags with bell services. You can store luggage you are checking on your flight with bell services too, or use Resort Airline Check-In (before 12pm) if you want to send your bags ahead to the airport. You just wouldn't have access to them anymore if you use that service. It sounds like your flight isn't until later on, so by doing this, you wouldn't have to rush back to your resort to get your stuff out of your room before 11am.

The food we have had at Ohana has been fine, but what we didn't like about the breakfast was the lack of options. On the one hand, it's nice to have the food brought to you rather than going up to a buffet line. But on the other hand, the lack of options like a buffet would have was a negative for us. Especially at that price point. Ohana breakfast is one of the more expensive ones, but since it doesn't have a ton of food options, you're paying more for the atmosphere and characters.

But regardless, I would still choose Ohana over Cape May for a farewell breakfast. Nothing wrong with Cape May, I just think Ohana would make for a better send-off and easier logistically, as well.

Oh wow I didnt know we could store our bags. Thats so cool. I would probably have them send them ahead too I would just have to make sure I have everything we need on hand to be a carry on. So now maybe Im thinking Ohana on the last day and Cape May (maybe) during our stay. I do have some picky eaters so that does worry me about the lack of options at Ohana. hmmmm

Bell services is there to assist with luggage, which includes securely storing luggage if your room isn't ready yet when you arrive or if you are still hanging out once you check-out. They will give you a claim ticket so you'll just need to return to pick up anything you've stored with them before getting on Magical Express. It's also a tipped position.

As for the food at Ohana, it's pretty basic and includes Mickey waffles. I would think it would appeal to picky eaters since I find it on the basic/boring side.
