Trying to get smaller than 100 point VGC (GCV) add-on contracts

The other strange factor to include in the equation is that they are letting VGC members break their contracts up into smaller amounts as long as they buy 100pt. Makes this all the more confusing. I was able to break my 100pt purchase into 2 50pt contracts. I've seen some at 75, not sure if anyone has done a 25pt? So at some points we'll probably see <100 pts contracts on the resale market. (not mine hopefully )

But I would hold off making any assumptions that the BLT change foreshadows anything at VGC.

Thus my wink. I get were DVD/DVC comes from. I also do expect contracts to be honored for their intent and my thoughts on that have not changed but that's beating a dead horse here.

But I will comment on the backlash part. Yes - there probably would be backlash for a change to GCV but I think it would be minimal at this point and because of BLT I don't think they are that concerned. At this moment it's a limited amount of people that have had a chance to purchase GCV due to the founding member period and probably even less who have closed. When you take into account that many of the sales they have done so far probably wanted more than 100 pts you've knocked out a lot who will care if the minimum is dropped. And what they have a chance to do is recapture market that they lost when they created the higher minimum. What about the BLT people who have had to purchase 100 points since Jan 15th? Perhaps it's been next to nothing but I'm sure there have been a few that wanted less but did the 100 because that was the requirement. I would think there are a few upset people there as well.

I am not saying I expect a change to the GCV minimum but I also wouldn't be surprised one way or another. Especially when you take into account the PP's info.

Now.....with the reported drop in minimum at BLT back to 25 I guess I may assume that GCV will follow suit!?! Meetings at DVD must be pretty interesting these days.

We'll see what plays out in this area but regardless I think you can assume the reversal is temporary.

Hi all- I got a phone call back about my paper letter and was told that it wasn't communicated to guides yet (this person is a much higher pay grade) but that I will be able to buy a 25 point min. @ VGC come March 25th. I'm not going to give any names but it made me a VERY happy Geek! Good news and cool to get the phone call. I usually don't have someone's secretary call me to schedule a call from their boss.

I certainly assume everyone from the context. As much as I'd like to feel special I don't think I'm getting any kind of exception. That would probably be a legal nightmare for DVC...

Hello all... I just got off the phone with my WDW based guide, who I had phoned to talk about my displeasure with the 100 min add-on yesterday. She phoned me back today and told me that the information in my original voicemail to her was off. She then went on to tell me that they had just received a memo yesterday or the day before that reinstates the 25 point min add for cash / 50 point min add for financing for ALL resorts - you would just forego any incentives. Check with your guides and see what they tell you.... she was pretty certain that come March 25 I would be able to get 50-60 points if that's what I wanted to do.

...it's at least giving me hope again for my 60 point desire at VGC
