Trying to budget for tipping while on DDP

We are trying to tie up loose ends for our Sept trip. We are trying to figure out the budget for tipping for DDP. It is Me, DH and DS(5). We are not drinkers at all so I am not worried about the cost of alcohol in the budget.


We are eating mainly at characters restaurants.

Ohana
Askershus
Crystal Palace
1900 Park Fare
Tusker House

I Figuring at least $25 for each Character meal

50's Prime Time for lunch

I figured at least 20-25% of the approx bill.

Is this sound about right? It has been 10 + years since we have been down to the world.

What I usually do is take the total cost of our dining plan and mulitiply by 18-20% to give me a ballpark figure of what we need to cover dining. We always have had more than enough to cover our tipping expenses.

I actually went through and did the math straight out. I looked up the menus and made up a fake bill for myself, had to guess on what a drink would cost at most places (soft drink) and totaled it all up, then looked up the tax rate, then used the tip calculator on my phone. I put in the same percentage for tip across the board and based on that number, I'll probably add some more to the "fund" and then just tip accordingly. I just wanted to know about how much to have set aside.
