Getting ready to make our PSs for our April anniversary trip. Just the 2 of us, a far cry from our recent family trip of 14. Want to try some new places esp. California Grill, Hollywood and Vine, Olivia's(fitst time at OKW) and ??? What do you think. Any suggestions?

I would skip Hollywood and Vine if it is just the two of you. At MGM I'd do either the Prime Time Cafe or the Brown Derby.

Epcot, LeCellier - hands down.

MK and AK never had anything trip my trigger that would make me recommend one over another.

House of Blues and Wolf Gang Pucks at DTD are very good.

I know there will be a lot of different opinions, but on the Boardwalk we like the Big River Brewery and the ESPN club (depends on what you're in the mood for). I've heard lots of good things about the Flying Fish, but can't get my fish hating wife in there.

You will also probably hear lots of good reports about California Grill, Boma, Spoodles, Artist Point to name a few. We just haven't had a chance to work our way to one of those yet.

I'd recommend the following:

1. California Grill -- EXCELLENT!!!
2. O'Hana's
3. Yachtsman Steakhouse
4. 50's Primetime Cafe
5. Cindy's (lunch or dinner)
6. Le Cellier
7. Rose & Crown
8. Tusker House
9. Ghiradelli's
10. Spoodle's

Hollywood and Vine has always been a favorite of ours at MGM, that or Sci Fi or Mama Melroses.

CAGrill great wine list. Wonderful mussels.

Olivia's...ugh. Stay away for dinner. For breakfast it is ok.

I agree with what WDW LOVR said, it depends on what you are in the mood for. Without knowing your likes and dislikes and where you have eaten its tough to say. Some of our favorites that I would pick and Im thinking of for our anniversary trip are...

ESPN for a quick lunch...very good bar food and very good drinks

Yachtsman Steakhouse, for a nicer splurge meal. Im also considering CA Grill for this, but since the menu doesnt appeal to me much Im afraid I will be trading off food for atmosphere. From the reviews Ive heard, Im sure it is good, just a little too funky for me. The view is great though. I have eaten at YSH and it was amazing, so It will be tough for CA Grill food will top that for me.

Mama Melrose for a good Italian dinner...always love it here.

Boma for a big breakfast. Im also considering trying Fresh just to try something new, but I was very impressed with Boma.

California Grill & Le Cellier are two places to eat that I would highly recommend. If you just want burgers give Beaches & Creme at the Beach Club Resort a try. Stay away from Olivias for dinner, it's the pits.

My favorites are already listed, but I'll give them another plug.....

Le Cellier - my favorite
Boma - DS11 favorite
O'Hana - DH new favorite

We also all love House of Blues and Wolfgang Puck Cafe :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Akershus recently switched from offering both a hot and cold buffet to a weird buffet/menu hybrid. You still have the cold buffet which has wonderful salads, breads, cheeses, meats and fish. But instead of a pretty decent hot buffet, you now order your hot entree with your waitperson. You may order as many items as you like (one at a time, of course), and the portions are "small" for this very reason. Personally, I found the portions to be more then generous, and try to negotiate a sharing of two different items with my husband. I would say that the food quality has improved since they switched to this method, although the variety is no longer there.

They have a very nice trout and I a great salmon. I'm one of these "almost" vegetarians who'll eat fish on occasion, so this is a great option for me while I'm at Disney.

Lastly, I will mention that my husband and I travel to Europe now and then, and this is pretty darn close to Scandinavian cuisine. Sadly, I can't say the same about the restaurant in Epcot's Germany!

We had an outstanding dinner at Artist Point a couple of weeks ago, probably the best meal I have had at Disney.

I also recommend Jiko, Boma, Le Cellier, California Grill & Alfredo's

have fun :)

My husband and I were disappointed with Hollywood and Vine on our last trip. The food was fine, but the waitress practically ignored us and the atmosphere just isn't as great as other places. Sci-Fi dine in was much more fun at MGM.

At MK I would STRONGLY suggest Crystal Palace. Great food, beautiful restaurant, and Winnie the Pooh -- how can it go wrong?

We have eaten at Marrakesh in Morrocco and Biergarten in Germany and like both very much. If you want quiet away from the chaos, I would suggest Marrakesh. It was very quiet, not many kids, good food, nice service and a show at particular times. Biergarten is beautful inside in my opinion -- it looks like you are in a little village at night. However, it is very loud, especially during their show. Also be prepared to sit with strangers at your table, we had a family of 4 at our table with us. Great food though!

Artist Point is lovely - have the cobbler!! I also agree about Le Cellier. Olivia's is nothing special. If you're staying at OKW (fantastic resort!) I would suggest going there for drinks/key lime pie and sit outside to enjoy the view of the marina, water, etc. The entrees are nothing to write home about.
