Okay I guess we will use ME for our Jan. trip. This will be a first. So...I need to call MS (we are DVC members) and have them add that. When do you get the luggage tags? Also, when we check in with Airtran at BWI airport.... they will know that we are using this ME service?? These tags ALERT them to this? When we arrive MCO.... where is this ME counter. I assume we check in there? Then is the ME bus right outside close to where ME counter is? Then when we get to OKW...we just do regular check in as usual and then our bags MAGICALLY appear within 5 hours of our flight's arrival??? Is that correct??? If there is anything else I am missing or need to know...please feel free to tell me. THANKS :goodvibes

DME is fantastic.

We usually receive the passes and tags a few weeks after booking, but I think they can come as soon as a month our from your trip.

The yellow tags that go on your luggage have nothing to do with Airtran. They identify your bags to the DME agents waiting at baggage claim, when they will pick them up and see that they are delivered to your room.

DME is downstairs in the terminal. There are plenty of signs to help you find your way.

We did have the bus fail to pick us up for our return trip, once, but the valet guys at the hotel put us in a prepaid cab and we got there in no time.

Exactly what Stacy said :) One of the best things about the magical express is not having to get your luggage! I dont know about you, but my airport LAX (los angeles) is so busy, it can take a while to get your bags. Having them delivered to the room is amazing!

We are leaving for WDW Dec. 12 and received our DME tags and information yesterday (Nov. 5). We have had our room and air reservations for a few months.

Oh okay so the yellow tags are just to identify your luggage so that the agents know to take it to your resort. Gotcha!!

My husband just made me literally LOL  I was explaining to our dd how ME works and how the bags just "magically appear...." Well before I could say "in your room" he said TWO DAYS LATER. :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: I hope that doesn't happen!!!! :scared1: :lmao:

lol, you should be fine, just remember to put anything you may want right away in your carry on. Bathing suits, change of clothes for dinner, etc. You can also forgo using the yellow tags and claim your luggage and bring your bags to the bus with you. I didn't sign up for ME, we just showed up, so we had to claim our own luggage. But leaving we used resort check-in and it was great! We stayed at AKV and we checked out bags and got our boarding passes, then went to breakfast at Boma then not long after we got back to Kidani the bus showed up, but our bags had already been whisked away to the airport! All we had to do was security at the airport!

You know that you do not have to call ME. You can go on the DVC website and go to the vacation planning tab. Scroll down a bit and there is link to sign up for ME. It's easy and saves a phone call.
