we are working on booking our trip this week just waiting to hear back from AAA to get our package prices, i called and they would not make my reservations without a reservation # i thought they were able to attach this to my phone number?? I thought this was really strange, the CM said that i run the risk of having my reservations cancelled, should i just hurry up an book my trip then and call back? I guess i am just nervous that if i book my trip and if free dinning comes out , and for some reason my ressies can't get free dinning added on-- please give me your opinions i so confused:confused3 I am not sure what the best bet is, but from the boards it seems like everyone is already making the sept ressies and i want to get mine in as well. thanks so much
:goodvibes

Call back and try another CM. Attach just your phone number for now, and I'd call and add your reservation number when you get it back from your TA.

Whenever I called this morning I was ask for my Package Confirmation #
so that I could get my 180 day Plus 10 ADRs.
The only restaurant that did not go along with that 180 + 10 rule was
Yak & Yeti, so I have to call on the exact 180 day.

PP is right, without the reservation #, you will only be able to make your first days reservations. You'll have to call back day by day, at exactly 180 days for the others (until you get your confirmation number)

I have all my ADRs under my phone number. Do I need to call and add my Ressie number? I don't want them to cancel me! :(

All of my ADR's are tied to my phone number too, and were also tied to my phone number only for my past trips. I have never ever had a problem.

That being said, I suggested to the OP to add the reservation number because I thought it might be more comforting for her. Even if the CM was wrong, it can be nervewracking to hear wrong information from a CM. (Some may wonder why trust an internet message board instead of the CM's who are supposed to be trained to know this information :rotfl:)

You can't add free dining now because it hasn't been offered yet.

You must have an active reservation at a Walt Disney World resort to book restaurant reservations further out that 180 days. At 180 days, anyone can book restaurant reservations, whether they have an active reservation or not. They won't cancel them because you don't have a room reservation, and you don't need to have the reservation number added later. Even if you add the free dining package later on, you can keep those reservations.

Thanks so much:) I realize that the free dinning has not been offered yet, I am sorry i prob should have worded my post better, but i was debating on booking now and " If" the free dinning was offered if it could be adjusted on my reservation, or just to hold out until April. I am torn, but i am going regardless in Sept so i might as well make my ressies im thinking:) Thanks for your help:)

I'd say if you know when you're going, and you know what you want, you're just fine in making your restaurant reservations 180 days out.

What days in Sept. were you planning on going??? We have always been able to book ADR's with out Phone #, but just thought maybe you had miscalculated the 180day mark, or were trying to make a weeks worth of ADR's on the 180th day ( which is not possible without a room res. #)

Wolfgang Pucks is another that you can't make until the exact 180 day mark. I called yesterday to make ADR for our Sept trip and was told to call back at exactly 180 days out for both Yak & Yeti and WGP.

The previous poster was correct. Anyone can call for ADRs at exactly 180 days out for each ADR, but if you want to make ADRs for 180 days out for your entire stay (180+10) you MUST have a confirmation number showing you are staying on site (unless you are making those ADRs for >180 days from the end of your trip). In other words I could call today and make any ADRs I wanted for my May trip without having to have a conf number, but if I wanted to make ADRs for my May trip for anything 181-190 days out, I would have to give them confirmation that I was staying onsite, otherwise I would have to call back everyday on that ADRs 180 day out mark.
