Help, I have friends that are considering going to the World either Thanksgiving -Wed through Monday or the week after Easter Sunday. What would you advise as far as crowds. They have never been there before so I want them to have a good time enjoying the park and not having the memory of long lines and shoulder to shoulder crowds. I know that we can plan out the trip to help, like using fastpass and having prioirty seating but I just don't know what to tell them about crowds.

Anyone who has experience please give your advice.
TIA!

we were in the world during thanksgiving week of 2000...monday thru wednesday was a breeze...not much in the way of lines and very managable...thanksgiving day and the weekend to follow was unbelievable...i didn't know that a single place could absorb that many people overnight...as we go to the world as often as we do (we are very lucky), we didn't sweat it and just enjoyed the christmas decorations that seem to go up overnight...

can't help with the easter question...haven't been there during that time of year...we will be there for new years this year and we are expecting big crowds again....

have fun!!!!

Same for us. We were at BCV last year and had a great time Sat-Wed, but Thurs-Sun was a nightmare! I have never been at Easter.

I'm curious about the week after Easter too. I wasn't sure if it would be too crowded or not. We've planned the week of Thanksgiving next year but plans can change if we need to. I also thought about the week before Memorial Day since the kids get out of school then but I'm just gonna wait and see.

i've never been to the parks on Easter day but I've been Easter week twice and both times it was much less crowded then I expected peak time to be. We got right on almost everything except the big rides and it's late hours and all the parades and fireworks and the weather is slightly hot but still nice. I recommend that over Thanksgiving even though I have never been then. Anyone have any info about the crowds dec 20-24, before christmas? Is is any less crowded then Christmas day? And is New Years Eve more crowded than Christmas day or vice versa? The whole family, about 15 of us are going during Christmas for the first time this year.

We are going the wed-mon and I know it will be packed!!! Since we live in FL and are AP holders, we don't care. If it's teir first tiem, tehy might be overwhelemed. as long as tehy know all of this, they shoudl be okay. I wodul tell them to focus on seeing the decorations, going with the flow, avoiding EE parks. If they don't already have PS's , they shouldn't wait any longer. Also, the resorts may be booked.

We went the week after Easter this year and the crowds were small. The longest line we waited in was 20 minutes - never used a Fast Pass. The only problem was it was HOT. We had a great time.

Easter crowds kind of depend on when Easter is. It was late this year, so spring breaks were already over when Easter came around. The year before (when we did it at Easter time) spring breaks came the week before and the week of Easter. So check when Easter falls, see about spring breaks and plan for that. Spring break is very crowded.
