I am so disappointed. I am trying to put together a trip over Spring Break (March 6-13). We have always stayed at the Swan or Dolphin. Great teacher rate and great location. It is not available for my dates. We had to book the CBR. I know I do not sound excited, right? I should just be glad that I am going to WDW but I really hate to pay $188.44 a night for a mod when I can get a deluxe for $129.00 plus resort fee.

Do you think that maybe Annual Pass discounts might come out before we go and maybe I could stay somewhere a little nicer for that amount?

Please help. Make me feel better!

There is always hope. I feel your pain. I will be paying $244 a night for WL woods view over Thanksgiving! There were discounts last year and we paid $109 at CSR. It was a beautiful resort and well worth the money.

Did you try going through Dreams Unlimited? I was told that my dates (10/31 - 11/04) were not available when I tried to book directly, but I was able to get them through Dreams Unlimited at the teacher rate.

Give them a try - it can't hurt!
Best wishes,
Adele

I checked the S/D link on the WDWINFO.COM page today for my week, 3/5 - 3/14 2004 and found Swan at $129 and Dolphin at $154 per night. I booked Dolphin at $139 per on the Teacher's rate this March, but there are still deals to be had.

Don't give up. The CBR is a wonderful resort. I have stayed there twice and in the deluxes also. I love the peacefulness of the CBR. I don't think that you will be dissappointed if you have to stay there. However, if the Swan/Dolphin is your first choice, keep trying! I also know that sometimes when you can't get it directly from them, Dreams unlimited usually has rooms.

I was also told the S&D were booked for my dates in January when I called. However, I had just found a room on Starwoods weBsite the day before. When I asked the operator she said that the internet had their own stock to sell. I don't know if you can get your teacher rate from their website, but it did price out some other discounts. It may be worth a call. The website gave me a AAA price of $162.50 for a limited view room at the Dolphin in Jan.
