Trouble with Quizno's coupons

We had a whole sheet of these in our newspaper a few weeks back. I took my two DDs and they let me use the BOGO and let older DD use the free sub with a drink &chip purchase with no questions. Maybe it was because they were the slick newspaper ones.....

So sorry for those of you who live by a Quizno's that wouldn't honor your coupon. I used mine for lunch today with no problems and no one even asked for an ID.

I must have gotten in on the tail end for getting a coupon. When printing off the coupon I filled in the names and e-addresses of 4 friends but they didn't get anything. When dh tried the main link they said they had already given away their million subs.

I took my coupon today and they had several signs in the store saying they would not accept it. Since I went out of my way to go there for my freebie, I still ordered lunch. I wasn't happy, but dh had warned me that could happen as he read it on the internet.

Personally I think Quizno's corporate needs to offer an apology to the public. Apparently they didn't make their franchises aware of the offer and the franchises didn't know what to do with all the coupons (I presume they would get reimbursed from corporate?).

Apparently there has been quite a bit of trouble with the quizno's "free" coupon. This link was on my local news website.

Did anyone notice in that article, the comment from Quiznos?

"...there are a handful of people who have reported some problem redeeming their free sandwich. If you’re one of them, please let us know right away by emailing millionsubs@quiznos.com. We’re working hard to address every issue very quickly"

There are some locations that will NOT accept any coupons due to the fact that their contracts will not allow them to do so. We have a Quiznos on our local campus and they are not required by the corporation to accept them due to how the contract process works. While this obviously doesn't cover all the locations that are being reported, this may be an issue for some people.

I'm an idiot and it worked in my favor! HA!

I misread the coupon or paid no attention or something like that :rotfl: and took my free sub coupon to Subway which is where I normally get my $5 footlong and ordered away! The counter girl looked confused for a minute but proceeded to make my a 6 in sub and then the manager came out and looked at my coupon and said, "okay, no problem, we honor competitors coupons" and off I went with a delicious sub very full of whatever I asked for on it!

I called my DH who I also printed one for and told him what I had done and he followed suit and ordered a 6in from Subway with his Quizno coupon!

Yeah, for Subway, they always get my buisness these days altho I love Quiznos, they are all closing up shop near me, no wonder!

Ours in Algonquin, IL wouldn't except it! Too bad as my husband and I had a coupon and were going to purchase 3 more other subs for our dinner. We have never tried a Quizno's sub and looking forward to trying it. We said never mind then. Not only did they lose the sale of 3 subs, they won't get us to come back. :confused3

Dh and i went to quizno's today to try and use our coupons. After waiting in line for over 5 minutes (there were only 2 other people in front of us, not sure what was taking so long), we were told we couldn't use the coupon. I would have preferred the store had the "not accepting free coupon" sign rather than wasting time waiting in a very slow line. We left quizno's and went to buy subs at subway instead. We would have spent money on drinks and chip/cookies at quizno's but instead they lost revenue, and ended up losing a customer to their competitor. :rotfl2:

Thank you for the email address... I just sent a complaint since my daughter and I went to the local Quiznos and not only did he not want to honor it, he was rude in the process. :confused3

Oh, he did offer to take $1 off any sub... can you say "bait & switch"? Last time I checked there were laws on the books about that

Needless to say, Quiznos won't be getting any of my business anymore.

My husband and I used both of ours just last night and we had no probelms, we just had to show ID. From Quizno's we proceeded to head right across the street to use our Burger King Coupons for our girls cuz they just aren't interested in Quizno's even if they had their own email address to obtain coupons; they're just 10 & 3.

T.

I tried at the one by my work yesterday & they wouldn't take it either. She said they don't participate in certain promotions. I took my coupon & walked out without ordering anything.

I have heard it was something corporate pushed but the franchises didn't want it, so they are rebelling against corporate... but the people who suffer are the people who will NEVER go back after such rude treatment!

I was also denied. They had a sign on the door of our local quiznos of all the coupons that they don't accept. There were about 4 of them including the free one. Honestly, I expected that because they are not a very friendly bunch in there anyway. At least the sign on the door saved me from having to walk into the place.:lmao:We gladly got back in the car and drove across the street to Five Guys and paid to have the world's best hamburger and fries and friendly customer service!

I am calling my local Subway tomorrow. :thumbsup2 I would much rather they have my business than Quiznos.

That's really the point... there are alternatives... we have Subway and Blimpies not to mention any of the pizza places which also do some might fine subs :thumbsup2 I have no reason to go to Quiznos and now a reason NOT to go there!

I emailed them yesterday so I wil be interested to see if I ever get any response ;)

I'd be interested in what kind of response, if any, you get. I'll be e-mailing today since our Quizno's also refused to accept the free sub coupon.

Talk about an advertising promo gone wrong!

OT but to do with Quiznos... we had one open here in a near by town. With in a month it was closed. I have never seen a place open and go out of business so fast! It was very strange.

Hi!

I went to the Quiznos in Bethlehem, PA yesterday and they let me use the free coupon, no problem. I just had to show my photo ID.

I hope the Corporate Office responds to everyones complaints.

Cindy

I used my free coupon on Saturday with no problem!:) Also, used my free Arby's Sandwich coupon for my son that day!

It's so odd that they said days ago that the already gave them away. I got an email just this morning saying they were getting close and reminding me to use mine.

Used mine Friday in downtown Pittsburgh. They didn't even ask to see ID. They did however type in the code on it into a machine??

Tell you this though, if those are the prices they are charging for they're subs then I'll only eat there when it's free. That's ridiculous.

We used ours at a Quiznos in Manhattan without a problem. Before we ordered the cashier just took them and either put the code into a machine or checked a list (I couldn't see what he was doing), and said we both passed. He said they've had people trying to use multiple coupons so they have to check to make sure you haven't used one yet. He also offered to upgrade it to the regular sized sub for $1!

Here's the email I got:
