trouble sleeping on vacation

I have sleep 'issues'. I agree with the winding down.maybe take a book and have a glass of wine at the end of the night. I am already having trouble sleeping just being excited about the trip! Leave in 2 days. No caffeine after 3 or 4 no matter how much you think you need it! I also take earplugs. Sweet dreams!:cloud9:

We take our own pillows and use a white noise machine. A few drinks before bedtime doesn't hurt either :rotfl:

I was never a good sleeper on vacation (you know not my own bed:lmao:). Then I started bringing my own pillow with me and am amazed at what a difference it made for me. I take it everywhere. Somebody here said something about not taking it on a plane but I always do. I have a suitcase that has an area under the top that is perfect for my pillow. I have a question...what is a white noise machine?:tinker:

A white noise maching will make noises like waterfalls, thunderstorms, birds chirping...whatever is soothing to you to cover up outside noises. If you have an iphone or ipad or something similar, you can get apps for that! :goodvibes

Thanks, I have done benedril but maybe ill try unisom. I always feel like the air is on its too cold then it clicks off and its hot as heck then on again.

I have this problem at the hotel at the airport, the night before we leave for Disney. But it could have something to do with being soooo freakin' excited to go to Disney.

I usually try a Gravol the night before, it helps me sleep.

When my DH takes benadryl, he's like a squirel on speed. :lmao:

Once we get to Disney, as soon as my head hits the pillow after a day in the parks, I'm out like a light! :cloud9:
