I watched the 4K TRON on Sunday afternoon - man, did it look good! Legacy is going to look nice too. I wish I could actually see it in 3D as it is one of the few movies that was filmed for 3D and actually took advantage - not many movies outisde of Avatar have done that.

They always have Thursday night screenings, but the "official" opening day is still usually Fridays.

Anwyay, I did see it and it's pretty good. It has a real music video kind of vibe, which is not necessarily a bad thing because the soundtrack indeed goes hard. I did like...

...that this movie is not about a benevolent AI who decides to go bad, but rather a bad AI who decides to do good. It's the anit-Terminator!

It doesn't pick up much on threads from the previous movie, though there are several references. That's a story that may never get told - maybe if this one is actually a big hit. I guess we'll see.

Saw it last night with my buddy who I go see MCU and Star Wars with. We liked it. It had some loose motivations that I wasn't totally sold on for some of the characters. The soundtrack was good but I think Legacy did it better. The CGI was really good. It was an enjoyable popcorn movie.

Saw it today in Dolby. I think that is the most my seat has ever rocked for a movie, maybe the music was just that loud. Visually it was stunning, great work there. Music of course was excellent. Good casting. I felt like the story was predictable, and DS#2 felt the script was really weak. He had a couple specific ~ yeah that didn't work but overall I think it was good. Will it be a huge hit, that I don't know. DS#1 usually takes a 3rd quarter nap but he was awake and focused the whole time. I don't think it ever really slowed down. Glad to see in theater on the big screen, at home def won't be the same.

Yeah, I wasn't really expecting a big hit, but hoped it would at least hit tracking. The previous two TRON films were at lieat slightly profitable. It is doubtful this will even be that.

Did about what should be expected of Tron at this point in a dwindling audience pool for movies. Just never hitting with general audiences. Will border on breaking even at the box office plus whatever revenue sharing via streaming
