Triple D "May"hem

Thank you so much Bryan - what you said about me made me feel really good. I hope thing are getting better and continue to do so.

We are taking it one day at a time here. Its still tough but we have to stay strong. Soon my sister will have the baby and so its going to be a whole new set of emotions at that time. Hopefully the baby will stay put until the c-section date (May 28) so we still have a little less than 2 weeks. I appreciate all the thoughts and prayers everyone has sent my way. It has meant alot to me.

As far as my miles - I only did a 3 mile walk - 1 hour with my niece. I hope to get out sometime this weekend if only for a walk.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Friday. Yeah its almost the weekend. I just can't concentrate a full day at work lately.

Good morning all.

Tricia: Many ((hugs)) and thoughts for you and yours. I am only just catching up and wanted you to know how sorry I am for all you have gone through.

Bryan: ((hugs)) and good thoughts for you, too. I am sorry life is so stressful, but I have utter faith in you and know you will come out of this strong and better than ever.

Tim: Welcome!

I am still working on catching up with the team, life, the universe and everything. In that vein, I've decided to go ahead and ask Betsy to kindly just fill in my missing weeks with big ol' goose eggs. I've gotten a little bit of training in, bnut not any significant amount, and I realized that feeling like i had to go back and reconstruct the last few weeks (which, without being overly melodramatic, are weeks I would just as soon forget about) has been a big weight holding me back. So, I am moving forward, as of today and trying my best to shake off the bad -- or at least learn to deal with some of the stress through exercise rather than oreos.

Hope everyone is doing well. And hope to be seeing a little more of you now!

Good Morning, hope everyone is doing great.

Bryan, sending good thoughts your way

Tim, welcome to our group

Betsy, thanks for all your work and enthusiasm

As for me, I doing well here in my quiet little corner of the world.

My totals for week ended 5.14.09 are
10.83 miles
158 minutes

Have a great weekend

Ok Tim If you don't mind to much, fess up. Where around Chelsea do you live? I have lived here pretty much all of my life so you have gotten my curiostiy levels up.

Thanks!
Bryan

:stitch: 'Ohana Monday Mixer :stitch:

"A good film is when the price of the dinner, the theatre admission and the babysitter were worth it." ~Alfred Hitchcock

By now, most of you have figured out I like movies. A lot. Perhaps an unhealthy amount. Nevertheless, I think it's fun to talk about movies, especially now that the summer season has started. Wolverine has been released, so has Star Trek, with many more big blockbusters soon to come.

So this week's mixer topic is, predictably enough, summer movies! The start of the mixer, posted on the 'Ohana thread, is here.

What summer movies are you looking most forward to, and why? Also, how do you like your summer movies?

Feel free to talk about how you choose your flicks: based on directors, your favorite movie star, a beloved genre? And what is your ideal movie experience? Midnight movies or matinees? Chain theaters or independents? Drive-ins? What about the movie-going extras? With or without snacks? Buttered popcorn or chocolate?

Can hardly believe May is half over already! I know I'm getting O.L.D., because time is flying by at an ever increasing rate! :rotfl:

My hours for week of May 7-14:
405 minutes 23. 5 miles

Have a great week Triple D's!!!!

Hi, everyone....
Keep posting your totals!! I'll be updating the spreadsheet this evening....I'm running behind because I was travelling this weekend. Will try to get caught up tonight, though!

and...how does my house get so dirty when I'm not here? :rolleyes1:laundy:

Spreadsheet is updated.....missing some folks!! Even our leader Bryan!!

I started the week off strong with a 42 mile bike ride last weekend. And some good runs...but then was travelling for work and just got off track. Haven't done squat for the last few days. HAVE TO get back on the plan tomorrow! I've got a 1/2 Ironman in less than 4 weeks and am not really ready. The swim will be what it is...I don't have the bike time in, and the run will probably be ok, because I feel in a better place for that than this time last year. Prob could drop a few lbs to feel better about hauling myself around the course. Doing a sprint tri next week, so hope that will be fun! I'm sure it will!!

So for May 8-14:
Swim: 1.1 miles/ :50
Bike: 42 miles/ 3:00
Run: 9.2 miles/ 1:40

wts/core/stretch :30

Totals: 52.3 miles/ 6:00 hours

Keep the posts coming!!!

And...as much as it saddens me...the people who posted in Feb/early March only...are about to get lumped into a column of "other" on the spreadsheet, to save some time when adding the new months. I'm bummed they stopped posting. Oh well....

I am very happy, once again, to welcome AUDisneydad to the team!!

Will look forward to meeting him and so many others at the marathon in January!

Sorry, I totally missed posting my totals for April--Don't know if they can add them now but if they can here goes.
April:
48 miles and 14 hours

I will try to keep up better in May...
May 1-7: 18 miles and 6 hours
May 8-15:10 miles and 4 hours

May 8-14
miles: 30.5
hours: 5.23

I did a 10K race on May 10 and set a new PR of 55:53! I was aiming to go under 57 minutes, so I was pretty happy to go under 56. Still working toward my half marathon at the end of the month - and still hoping to go under 2 hours for that.

OH wow.. I haven't posted numbers all month, I'm so sorry! :( Here they are..

May 1-7: 10miles 153mins
May 8-14: 9miles 147mins

I'll pick it up in june, I promise!

Betsy I apologize. I thought I had posted my miles and hours for the last week. I didn't have a lot with everything that is going on at work but I am already doing better this week.

Miles - 40
Hours - 7.5

Not much production but I am hoping for a better turn out this week. Actually, already have.

Thanks everyone for all of your efforts!
Bryan:cheer2::grouphug:

May 15 - 21
22 miles 345 minutes

The next couple of weeks I won't get many hour/miles, but I promise to make up for it later.:banana:We're headed to Peru tomorrow!!!
Of course, being a true Disaholic, our flights just happen to be routed through Florida, with an overnight in Orlando on the way down. Then of course on the way home, we'll need 3 days at AKV to rest up :rotfl:before heading home. When I'm exploring Machu Pichu, I'll be thinking of all my Disfriends, I'll even try to post if we find a good internet cafe.
