Trip Talk!

I plan to be at trader Sam's at 3pm for some cocky-t's, so 3:30pm wouldn't work :(
Hear you on this. You should be in line by at least 3:30pm for a decent table at Sam's. For a great seat, go left once you enter the room and sit at the couch + 2 chair arrangement that is approx 1/2 way up the left hand wall. If you sit on the couch facing back into the bar, you have a great view of all of the drink effects.

Looks like I'll see you at the Dessert party on the 23rd PJ and you Steve at the scavenger hunt.

And Jes, I knew Leigh was good people. One of my wrestling highlights was being in the building for CM Ounk vs Undertaker at Mania

Oh gosh - now Cindy - I USED To like you, I really did!

Just the THOUGHT of that stuff makes me gag - TOO SWEET!!!! I remember @ the Crystal Palace a long time ago I tried that, and had to drink an entire glass of water after just 1 bite. And even the memory of watching my friend and my ex eat it with SYRUP on it - makes my TEETH hurt!!!

I think you might be thinking of puffed French toast, that is what they have at Crystal Palace

Both are pretty sweet though

Oh yeah - the Tonga has bananas inside, plus the MOUNTAINS of cinnamon sugar - making it even SWEETER, right. Hurl, hurl, HURL!! :rotfl2::sick:

I'll be there in Sept. right now I have CSR for 9/13-15, then Swan 9/15-18. Going solo mostly for F&W. I may bump it to the next week if when F&W details actually get posted and they aren't having any little seminars at the Festival Center until the next week. My AP expires 9/22 and I was hoping to get a third trip on it before renewing, thus the 13-18. No plans other than F&W, I'll probably book an ADR for tea at GF when I'm positive those are my dates, that's the extent of my planning. I'm sure I'll book some FP the night before I go to whatever park I'm going to on whatever day I'm going to it but I never know what I'm going to be in the mood for. Since I'm going for F&W, most likely won't eat at any TS restaurants because I try to hit every booth and between that and the cooking demos and one F&W pairing meal, I'm usually stuffed. No rides I have to hit, I will visit all the parks, hitting each one for a hour or two in the morning before WS opens. I'm not a planner.

Close! 23-30

I'm doing the same for Ohana, but only a 3:30pm has come up at this point

Great! I'm excited to meet up with you! (Maybe a little Trader Sam's?)

So are you gonna take that 3:30 Ohana? What day?

On July 23rd we leave home for a two hour drive, a two hour ferry ride, an hour bus ride, then 45 minutes on a train to the airport. We catch the red eye to Tampa, land at 1130 am, pick up my daughter's friend at Tha Amtrak station and drive to BWV, where we are staying until August 5th. We have fast passes for 10 days,
and I am volunteering at GKTW four times during our stay, but we have no ADRS or other plans as we want this trip to be relaxed and nor as scheduled as past trips.

Nah, it is too early, especially if we have a couple of drinks and snacks at TS (sounds like a good time to catch up!)
I'm not too worried about Ohana. If it happens, it happens!

That will be the day we go to the Star Wars Launch Bay so my wife and I will be in Star wars shirts. Hers has Leia and says 'I love you' while mine has Han and says 'I know'

Yes we have accepted being geeks at the parks, but I can't wait to see what response we get from Kylo when we tell him we are big fans of his parents.

We'll be at the Boardwalk Inn in a few weeks, for 7 nights. We have 8 day parkhoppers and the DDP.

There's a real backstory to our trip.

We had plans to go, but were on the verge of cancelling them in April; my son starts college in the fall and finances are tight.

My husband was due to chaperone the Senior Trip to WDW at the end of April. Five days before the trip, he suffered a series of seizures, and spent 11 days in the ICU. Those first few were scary-- to the point where I found the insurance papers and started to think along the lines of finding black clothes for the kids.

Obviously, he was off the Senior Trip-- I emailed his principal when I got home from the ER at 5 am that first night and told them they would need a replacement.

The kids at his school, knowing how very much he loved WDW (And this Senior class in particular) passed the hat. They went homeroom to homeroom. And in 24 hours, they collected $4000 to send my family to WDW this summer. The check was presented to us the night before the Senior Trip. My husband was still very groggy, having just come out of sedation after 4 days. But I remember it clearly. A cousin was up from FL in the hospital room visiting, and he got pictures on his phone of us receiving the check.

So we're supplementing the money they gave us, and doing one more big WDW trip before we figure out college finances. It will be a celebration of my son's high school graduation (tomorrow) and of my husband's recovery. He's pretty much fully recovered, and will be back in the classroom in September.

Wow! First off, glad your husband is doing well

Sounds like a special group of kids - really great story!

I'll be in Orlando for 10 days in mid-August. Half of the days will be at WDW and the other half I'll be sitting in a hotel room with my 2 toddlers while DH is at a work convention. Maybe I'll venture out with the kids sometime and get on the bus to catch some of the attractions on iDrive. Anyone tried the Orlando city buses?

At WDW, we're staying at the Poly. Our days are currently planned as so,
Day 1: MK - Main St & Tomorrowland
Day 2: MK - Fantasyland
Day 3: Epcot
Day 4: MK - Adventureland, Frontierland & Liberty Sq
Day 5: Hollywood Studios
With two very timid toddlers, I am limited to which rides I can FP, so I actually had a hard time filling 3/day. Hopefully we can see Fantasmic some night.
I booked ADRs at CRT, Chef Mickey's, & Kona Cafe (all breakfast meals.) Also planning to try CHH and the new Echo Lake eats. Dinners will probably be out of our room. Above all, I'm trying to stay flexible with the plans!
Can't wait!
