Great idea planning ahead! I'd love to hear about where you ate, where you stayed and your very favorite rides. I'll be looking forward to reading your report!

WDWLVR! We have written trip reports for every one of our trips since 1992 (about 20). Our kids were 8 and 11 then. Our kids are now 17 and 20 - we still go as a family and still write our reports! We love to read them from years past so I applaud you on starting a great tradition!!!!! We have our Disney box where we put in one or two momentos of each trip (napkins from what turned out to be a "funny" meal, the soaps from the resort, or anything CHEAP) and we'll get this our before our next trip. In fact, it's due out as soon as my dd gets home from college in May for our May trip!

Although there are many ways to write a trip report, we record ours day by day. We tend to get a little over the edge (ie: we consider it to be a personal failure if we're not the first ones on Splash in the am! :))and we record all rides we've taken that day and in what order - so we can remember where we were at any given time. Also record anything that was funny to you guys - something that'll jog your memory in years to come and you'll find yourself cracking up all over again. For instance, I don't know what it is - maybe some of you have had this experience - but we always manage to see one particular family (per trip) all over the place. Every trip this happens. I don't think they see us or are aware that we see them, but we'll end up seeing them all over!!! I mean, they'll be in the same park we're in, they're looking at the same Christmas decorations at the GF at the same time (Now don't tell me that;s usual!), we'll see them at AK, WLV, we even had the same character meal once or twice. It's really hysterical - and it makes for a great trip report! We oftentimes want to go introduce ourselves, but we think they'll think we too nuts!

Whatever you do, just do it!!!! WE all take notes during the trip - or in the car with a pad that we leave there for that reason. When we get home, my dh loves to write the report and relive every moment all over again. Sometimes, my dd will write as we dictate in the car on the trip home. Whatever!!

I've always known ever since I gave birth to my dd and ds that they were mine on loan and someday the day would come when they will leave home. As we get closer to those days, I'm so glad we have our memories and trip reports - and we're still gathering them! What fun!

Enjoy Enjoy! I know other people that will down there the same time as you and if you're looking forward to your trip as much as they are, you'll all have a blast!

Cheers,
Bwalker ;)
