Hiya All!

I have been reading Trip Reports and I have really enjoyed it. So I thought why not return the excellent entertainment I have received and Start a Pre-Trip Report of my own.

Here is the Cast:

DH (37) - My Loving Husband for the last 12 years, He is an awesome Husband and Dad. He is a Project Manager for a security company. He is a Goofy, Chip & Dale, and Mickey Fan! and a certified Star Wars :darth: and Indiana Jones Junkie! He is also an ESPN Junkie, He watches PTI everyday and enjoys Mike & Mike in the morning. He is also a POPCORN Lover popcorn:: DH would like me to add that he is also a DISer (ssmerdel) is his title on the boards.

Me (34) :cake: my birthday month and day is also my height :cool1: - Tina :surfweb: - I am a decaf coffee lover and I love to play on line and read books - along with Trip Reports here on the DIS.
I am a daycare provider to a gang of the best kids ever. :jumping1:
I am a Mickey & Minne Fan, I love to think of them in LOVE! I also love all the Princess. I really feel for Donald, I think he is highly misunderstood! ;)

DS (11) - He was a great first baby and The Best Kid Ever! He has a Nintendo DS surgically attached to his left hand and the Wii Game System attached to his utility belt! :rotfl2: He has been a Pokemon Fan since he was 2. He also likes Star Wars :chewy: and Stitch :stitch:

DD (6) - She is my Princess! princess: If I would have gave birth to her first, I probably would have had no other children. She was a good baby but girls are really interesting to raise. She is my baby girl love :lovestruc do not get me wrong but she is heck on wheels! It is the only way to describe her! She is a little girl, there is not an inch of tomboy in this child. She loves gymnastics and it a certified princess. I call her princess peach! Her favorite Princess is Aurora! She is actually my dream daughter/doll! :lmao: We get to play dress up! :thumbsup2 She also has began to have an attachment to Minnie ::MinnieMo ever since playhouse disney started to air, the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. We often watch this cartoon as a family. :happytv:

Next Up: OUR DISNEY HISTORY

My DH went to Disney World as a Teen back in the 80's. I had never been to Disney World but I had been to Disneyland when I was 9 but I can't remember alot about it. I just remember the Submarine Ride and Space Mountain (which really scared me!) Sorry I have no pics of either event, but I really wish I did. :thumbsup2

We had never really been on a vacation as an adults and had never spent so much money on a vacation for that matter.

In 2005, DH suggested we take the family to Disney World on a Vacation. I was freaking out and thought he was nuts. Are you Crazy, spend that much on a vacation?

The most we had spent was a trip to Kings Island in Ohio that lasted 2 days in a Spring Hill Suite.

So I started to look into a Disney Vacation. We decided on June 12-19, 2006 Trip because that would be most acceptable time for our family. The DS & DD would be out of school and DD who was in Dance at the time could attend her dance recital.

We first booked the POP but decide to upgrade to POR.

It was a lot of planning but it was fun planning, We started reading the DIS and All Ears, along with DisneyWorld.com

We planned, We packed and made ADR's! We had a park hopper, water parks and more, and the Dining Plan.

It was DD, DS, and my first plane ride that I remember (went to Germany when I was a baby - Military Brat!). DH flies all the time because of his line of work. I must confess, I was scared! but excited!

So off we went on the plane and I knew I had a bit of motion sickness  . I often get sick if I ride in the back seat of a car. I have to be in the front. It has been that way since I was a kid.

I had no clue when I got on that plane how sick I would truly be!

I sat by my DD (miss high maintence) big mistake! #1

Big mistake! #2 - assuming I could ride on the plane and look out the window :scared1:

Big Mistake! #3 - not packing a motion sickness medication! :sad2:

This was also when a Tropical Storm Alberto was moving through Florida.

So I am sick on almost the entire plane ride. It began when I decided to look out the window to see how small the city looked from the air! I instantly felt dizzy! :scared: I thought (Oh No! maybe it won't be so bad I can make it) No! NO! NO! Nausea, cold air blowing in my face, deep breathing. Nothing worked!

In the meantime, MISS HIGH MAINTENCE wants everything out of her bag to play with and will not leave me alone! I finally have to confess to DH that I am sick and could he please take MHM and give me Sweet DS, who is playing the DS that is surgically attached to his hand quietly. The kids switch places. I can hear MHM asking what is wrong with Mommy, why can't I sit with her! But I can't handle her because I feel as if I am going to spill the beans so to speak! DS says, Mom just do not throw up on me! I nod, and keep breathing and keep my eyes closed with the cool air blowing in my face.
Here is where the tropical storm comes into play. The pilot announces we will begin our descent and the air sickness gets worse because of the rain and wind and the plane moving a bit :scared1: So I really feel like I am going to heave. I grab the paper bag and start breathing into it. I am sure the other people around me were freaking out! But I did not care! I just wanted to get off the plane so the nightmare would end!

Luckily, I did not throw up! We got off the plane and I was automatically started thinking about the plane ride home! What was I going to do?

DH & I looked in every gift shop for the next 4 days trying to find motion sickness medication. Well, DH finally asked the Concierge Desk and a local pharmacy was kind enough to deliver some to POR for $12.00 but it was worth every penny on the ride home.

I find this funny now (my sick sense of humor) but at the time, I was miserable.

SORRY! I know I just went a little crazy but you will find I am like this. I hope you can follow my crazyness! :lmao:

Anyhoo, We ended up at The World, Fell in LOVE! Cried when I seen the castle for the first time and Cried When I had to leave!

I have more interesting stories of our adventures.

More of our Disney History To come!

Here is a photo of DS & DD with Minnie Mouse at Chef Mickey's Breakfast on Friday 06/16/2006 - We had a wonderful time at this breakfast. The kids really enjoyed the characters and twirling their napkins in the air, DH & I also enjoyed this act. We are two very big kids. The food was good, there was something for everyone.

Here is a copy of my plan from The Previous Trip and my added commments- Monday 6/12 - Monday 6/19/2006

6/12/2006 – Monday – Day 1
Travel/Arrival Day Off to the Magic Kingdom
Tropical Storm Alberto Day #1

It was very windy this day and there was a down pour that lasted all day. We did not care we went to MK and had a wonderful time splashing through water that was ankle deep on Main Street. We rode a few rides and then went back to POR.

6/13/2006 – Tuesday – Day 2
Magic Kingdom
Cinderella Breakfast – 8:05am ADR
We had a wonderful time at Cinderella's Royal Table for Breakfast. DD got to see the princesses. It was wonderful.

Tropical Storm Alberto Day #2 - It started off warm this day but continues to rain, it got pretty bad and began to get cold. We left early this day and headed to Boardwalk for a while and back to POR.

We were the first family to breakfast at Cinderella's that day and announced we were first by our family name. It was really neat we got to look around for a few minutes before everyone else started to show up and got a great window seat.

6/14/2006 – Wednesday – Day 3
MGM Studios

I Love this photo of DD coming down the slide, she is having so much fun.

We had a 6pm ADR at Sci-Fi that evening - Then went to Fantasmic DS got sick in the middle of the night, House keeping was wonderful came to clean up and change sheets and the next day they cleaned the Carpets and Bathroom very well. We are still not sure if DS caught a bug or if it was a combination of Heat and too much greasy food.

Continued Later.....:cheer2:

Ok, I know I am reminiscing about our 2006 vacation and this pre-trip report has almost turned into Trip Report for our 2006 Vacation, but I can't help it. I just loved that trip and I am completely addicted to WDW. :dance3:

Moving Forward with our Disney History!

6/15/2006 – Thursday – Day 4
This day we were to check out Typhoon Lagoon but since DS was not feeling well, DH stayed with him at POR. DD and I went to Animal Kingdom, It was fun. We went on the Kilimanjaro Safaris Ride and Walked the Pangani Forest Trail. The Plan was that I would spend half the day at Animal Kingdom with DD and then come back to POR, switch places with DH and then he could return to AK with DD and have fun. DH was way too excited! He took poor pale looking DS out of room and ended up at AK. So, needless to say, our day was cut short, we went back to POR and swam a bit and missed the rest of AK. AK is a must do for our upcoming May/June 2008 Trip.

6/16/2006 – Friday – Day 5
Epcot was the plan for this day, I have to say I know we went to Epcot. I am just not sure we made it on this day. We missed a lot of Epcot. I rode Test Track but the rest of the family did not. We missed all the other rides in Future World and the World Showcase. We did visit all the countries in World Showcase except for France and Mexico. When I read Trip Reports, I am amazed at how many things we actually missed at Epcot. So I have put together a better plan for Epcot for the May/June 2008 Trip.
This is the day we had breakfast at Chef Mickey’s (8am ADR) - I mentioned this in an earlier post :thumbsup2

6/17/2006 – Saturday – Day 6
We went to the Magic Kingdom on this day. It had rained us out the first 2 days so we had to make our way back. We had dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern (6:05pm ADR) We really love this meal and I will never forget Chip & Dale and their antics. They were so funny.

Dale with DS & DD

We stayed for Spectro Magic and Wishes this night. I grabbed a wonderful up front spot out side of Tomorrowland. It was great until, I decided to be nice. There were a bunch of people behind us and there were like 4 children around 5 to 11, so being the person I am, I offered for their CHILDREN ONLY to sit with mine and watch Spectro Magic. Well, it ended up that I was pushed to the back and my feet hurt so bad, I wanted to sit down, and one of the Moms Moved up with her kids, and I had to stand. I was so mad:mad: . So I will never be nice at another Disney Parade ever again!!! (I say as I stomp my foot and cross my arms)

After Wishes, sweet adorable DD (MHM and Heck on wheels) decided to have a break down because she was tired. There were so many people after Wishes we knew we could not get on the bus to POR for ages. So we walked through the shops on Main Street. I gave the children a limit on how many things they could buy as prizes each day and DD had already reached her limit. She found this bag that you could use markers and color the princesses in. She had already reached her limit, I said lets keep going. This works, if she is not tired and exhausted from being at WDW for almost a week and it is late. She threw the biggest screaming :scared1: , stomping  , crying :scared: fit I have ever seen come out of her in my life! She was scratching us, it was terrible. Normally, I can take her somewhere and get her out of the mess but I couldn't there were wall to wall people, our only transportation was by Disney bus, so we had security watching us, we probably scared a few young couples from ever having children, and we had the parents who knew! laughing! :lmao: I finally took to bathroom and lets just say her butt was hurting but she stopped the scene!
So if anyone was at the Magic Kingdom on June 17, 2006 and seen this, YUP! It was US! :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

6/18/2006 – Sunday – Day 7
We went to Typhoon Lagoon this day. It was fun but I was really tired by this time. So I let DD play in Ketchakiddee Creek and DS just wanted to play in the Wave Pool. I did not want to get wet but DH said, Your at Disney World enjoy yourself. So I did get in to the Wave Pool with DS and we did the Family Raft Ride - Gangplank Falls. I needed a nap! We left TL after lunch and went back to POR and cleaned up.
We had dinner at 50’s Prime Time Café (MGM) at 6:05pm - This restaurant was ok but we did not get the MOM experience here.

6/19/2006 – Monday – Day 8
Our very last day we had breakfast at the Crystal Palace 8:05am ADR. It was wonderful but I could not stop crying :sad1: . I did not want to leave. I remember we were by the Castle, the kids were arguing :confused3, I was trying to get one last Photo by the castle. DS & DD were just tired. So DD and I went to ride Dumbo our first time this trip.

I think a re-cap of the last trip is a perfect way to start planning for the next one!
Can't wait for more of your pre-trippie! :surfweb:

Breakfast at Ohanas’ - Spend some time with Lilo and Stitch

Breakfast at Crystal Palace- this is our traditional last day breakfast.
I am sure we will eat at the Everything Pop for breakfast, lunch, or dinner at some point.

Cantina de San Angel – Wet Burrito & Churro
Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe – Kringla Sweet Pretzel & Viking Coffee
Liberty Inn – Indoor Eatery
Boulangerie Patisserie – Pasteries
Yorkshire County Fish Shop – try the fish & chips

#When DH and I decided on places to eat this trip, several factors came into play. DH does not like seafood, but DS and I do, so we compromised and ended up with Cape May Café.

#We also wanted to try different restaurants than our last trip but return to a few of our favorites which is Liberty Tree Tavern and Crystal Palace.

#Try to eat more healthy options and more indoor eateries for DS since he got sick on the last trip. We were not sure if DS sickness was the heat, the food at Sci-fi, or a virus. We have also included Children's Pepto Chewable Tables on this trip. The Indoor Eateries are to get out of the heat more often and rest for a few.

#What foods and restaurants do we want to sample on this trip. We had a larger list but the above won!

#Boma is my choice, If DH, DS, & DD can't find something to eat here, they are not going to be happy, DH is a foodie, do not mess with his food. I am hoping they can find foods they like or just eat off the Children's Buffet only. :thumbsup2

#We would also like to do a dining review. So we are going to take pictures and carry a small notebook in our park bag.

We really wanted to stay at Beach Club or Wilderness Lodge but in order to return to the World at Thanksgiving, we have to be a little more budget minded and decided on POP Century Resort.

We also made ADR's at some of the Resorts we would like to stay at in the future. This is a nice way to check out the Resorts and the different themes.

So here it goes:

Disney's POP Century Resort from 5/30 - 6/8/2008
10 days and 9 nights, Park Hopper & Water Parks and More, and The Disney Dining Plan

I wanted to stay at POP during our 2006 Trip but DH wanted to try POR, so I agreed.

Here are some photos of POR that we took during our June 2006 Trip some are out of focus a bit:

Next Up Daily Park Plans.......

We have 2 Furbabies. One Ancient Black Girl Cat, Her name is Jewels and Our Golden Retriever (Blondies Golden Honey Bear) or Honey as she is known around our Palace.

Honey (dog) is staying at the Kennel and Jewels (cat) is going to stay here at home, My Mother is going to stop by everyday for the cat's needs.

Lets see some Photos:

Here is Jewels the Cat, poor thing, she is just plain old, she is running over the cat hill at 14. I got the cat before DH and I were married. She is scared of our kids and keeps to herself in our room. She leads a very sheltered life.

Here is our Honey Bear! She is our baby and my walking buddy. She is 5 years old. She is a wonderful pet and member of the family.

Here is Honey after she played in the mud. She was around a year old to 18 months.

Here is Honey as a baby puppy around 5 weeks old.

She is so beautiful and such a big baby. The Kennel says she is way too serious. We agree. She thinks she is a 75 pound lap dog. We send her to the Groomers every 8 weeks because she is too big to bathe.

I logged onto Disneyworld.com today and our trip is 85 days away!

It is getting closer!

but so far and I have planning to do!

Be Back Soon with more to come on this Pre Trip Report!

Here is a Photo of DH and myself:
