Trip Report in progress/ Day 3 up next Animal Kingdom

Day 9, Saturday, June 7, 2008

Park: DHS (Star Wars Weekend)
Hollywood Studios Hours: 9am – 9pm

DH really wants to attend Star Wars Weekend with DS and I am not sure if I want to attend a Star Wars Weekend. So I am toying with the idea of DD and I going to Epcot, if I have not seen all of the World Showcase by this time. This is one of my goals for this vacation.

Park: Epcot World Showcase
Epcot Hours:
Future World: 9am – 7pm
World Showcase: 11am – 9pm

We are going to let this day play out. We know what we want to do but we are not really sure about anything. We may be so tired we just decide to swim all day. We may go visit a few resorts or do some shopping at DTD.

We do have a 7pm ADR for Cape May Café.

Day 10, Sunday, June 8, 2008

Departure Day (Say goodbye to Magic Kingdom) :sad1:

Park: Magic Kingdom
MK Hours: 9am – 11pm

We have an ADR for breakfast at Crystal Palace at 8am. We had breakfast at Crystal Palace on our last day of our WDW trip in 2006. So we decided this would be our new tradition when leaving Disney World :sad1:

We also ride Dumbo on the last day.

We plan to eat lunch in Park on the last day. I also want to make sure I have plenty of snacks for the plane ride. Last time we had a connecting flight that was late and we did not have time to eat dinner on the way home. The airport was so busy and the lines were huge. I went to the shortest line (an Ice Cream place) and bought 4 bags of cheetos for the kids for dinner. We were starving by the time we got home. So this time we do have a direct flight (we had a direct flight last time also but they changed it on us, and we had no other choice but a connecting flight, but that is another story) and hopefully, we will not have problems and I will have plenty of disney snacks to eat on the way home.

Then back to the resort to catch Magical Express to Orlando Airport. We have an early evening flight back home.

This is a sad day for me, I do not want to leave. I am sure I will feel the same way again. I remember DH felt the same way and the kids were tired and kept arguing. It was great and I will never forget it! :lmao:

Next Up....Packing Plans

Great start!

Hello and welcome! :wave2: Thanks for coming along!

Packing Plans

We will be at WDW for 10 days - I am hoping I will not have to do laundry but you never know and I want to be prepared.

Clothing:

DH and myself to have at least 10 outfits each, packed.
2 swimsuits for ME, plus cover-ups
3 swimtrunks for DH, plus shirts that match.
2 pairs of walking shoes each, plus our Crocs :thumbsup2

Laundry soap - You never know when you might want to wash something.

DD & DS

13 outfits each, packed.
3 swimsuits for DD, plus 3 cover-ups.
3 swimtrunks for DS, plus matching shirts.

DD & DS will each have 2 pairs of walking shoes, plus Crocs :lovestruc

We are going to buy beach towels at WDW, this year. So we may want to wash those.

Quarters - Plenty - for laundry and Penny Press Machines. DS & DD enjoyed these machines in 2006.

Scissors - A must have for those tags and purchases.

Sharpie Markers for thoses Autographs, we will purchase autograph books when we get to WDW.

Medicines for Adults & Kids

Cold Medicines
Tylenol (Pills & Liquid)
Motrin (Pills & Liquid)
Chewable Children's Pepto Pills (bubblegum flavored)
Alavert - DS is always breaking out in something
Zantac
Dramamine - for ME and my motion sickness.
Swimmers Ear
Bandaids
Antibiotic Ointment
Blister Bandaids
Liquid Bandaids
Hand Sanitizer & Wipes
Cleaning Wipes
Bathroom Wipes
Suncreen
- We have to have special suncreen for DS, he breaks out. So we will have to have little 3 ounce bottles for plane in baggies.
4 Garbage Bags - for those dirty clothes & any trash we may have.
Quart Size & Gallon Storage bags - These are good for those things that could possibly leak in you luggage.
Laminated bag tags for everything that we carry that tells who we are, our cell phone numbers, our resort, and more. These will be placed on our park bag, all luggage, kids carry-ons, my carry-on, and stroller. Yes! We take a stroller, it is wonderful for DD & DS when they get tired. I am considering renting an extra stroller for the trip also.

I have sensitive skin like DS, just not as bad, so I require my own soap & shampoo from home. DD, DH, & DS are usually ok with the soap and shampoo at the resort. DS is just sensitive to Lotions, I am not sensitive to most lotions.

Hats for everyone! To protect DH's poor head, and our light skin.

Toothbrushes, Toothpaste, mouthwash, dental floss, we have been saving our samples from the dentist to go with us, we plan to throw all these away before we leave (to make room for all our purchases!) YAY!

We were Considering buying to more extra large suitcases to take this Trip!

I am sure I forgot something on this list, I am sure I will update it!

64 Days until DISNEY WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Quick Update!

My Mama is going to the World with us on the same dates, same plane, and same resort.

Tina's Mother, Jackie is taking my 5 year old niece Lindsey. Lindsey loves Ariel, The Little Mermaid. She is so excited. Jackie and Lindsey also got the Disney Dining Plan. We were able to add them to all of our ADR's except for the one at Le Cellier. Yay! That was wonderful.

I will update more later. I have to sneak a pic of my mom and I have several good ones of Lindsey.

More to Come......59 Days until Disney

:rotfl: This reminded me of our holidays DD12 was always saying to my DH "remember to to put sun cream on your baldy bit so that it doesn't burn"...he wasn't amused:mad: but we were:rotfl:

You are incredibly well organised...I'm in awe:worship:

WOW :worship:

I just threw stuff into a duffle bag that was going to be checked and then ran out to get what I did not have!! Granted, we were only there for seven days but still, I am in awe!!

:lmao: It is funny! Sorry Shawne, he said when he showered it hurt and then when his head started peeling, he thought his dandrif was acting up, poor guy ;)

Thank You so much but it really is a curse, I wish I could fly by the seat of my pants and not worry about packing. Just can't do it! :confused3

Thank You, but like I said it really is a curse, no relaxing for me until packing is done. :rotfl2:

Oh No! Pirates of the Caribbean is on a rehab schedule from 6/5 to 6/18/2008, this can't be happening. We missed this ride in 2006 because they were updating it to include the new Pirate Movies.

We arrive 5/30 and leave 6/8 - I hope they do not close POTC early, I will have to pass out in Adventureland, in my misery, what will I do without a look at POTC!

I know a bit on the dramatic side, but (as I stomp my foot and pout) I Want To See It! :snooty:

I almost forgot to tell you about the Deal we got at Kohl's on Saturday.

DS needed new shoes, so we decided to go shopping. We found some the likes at Dick's Sporting Goods. So then we decided to go look for Luggage. We already have a set that includes 29", and two smaller pieces.

We decided to have more room and buy two more 29" luggage pieces. We went to several stores. We ended up at Kohl's and they had a deal we could not refuse. We bought 4 more, Yes!, 4 more 28" luggage pieces that expand for $20 a piece, Yes!, You go that right! $20 a piece. The were originally $79.99 a piece. What a deal. We decided to not be picky and just get them. They also completely unzip to store flat. What a great deal! So we now have 5 large suitcases, I really think we only needed 4 one for each of us and that would make room for souvniers but DH insisted we need that 4th one. So now we are officially the Crazy Luggage People! :scared:

Talking about luggage. We picked up a set a BJ's Wholesale.
Its a 5-piece set 3 pullman style w/4 swivel wheels. I think their 29, 25 and 21 inch. Along with a small tote and a bag (like a medium size gym bag). We got this set for $99.99 the brand is Lanesboro.

Funny. This sounds like how I pack for a FOUR day trip. Only multiply the number of shoes by 3 and subtract the Crocs. Chronic, obsessive, overpacker. That's me! :cutie:

I know a bit on the dramatic side, but (as I stomp my foot and pout) I Want To See It! :snooty:

Please note I would be doing the same thing. I might also whine and throw something. DO NOT deny me my dose of Cap'n Sparrow!

Hi!! :wave2:

Just found your Pre TR this morning and read it all! Everything sounds so great! I really hope you guys have a great time! I can't wait until we get to go back again. I tried to talk DW into going this year, but for budgetary reasons we are not.

I really like how you planned everything out!

Oh.....the packing thing. It must be a woman/mother thing because my DW does the exact same thing!! ;)

I always love to see packing lists.... I guess now that I have unpacked my house I need to start to pack for WDW!

We actually bought 6 more and not 4 more. We also went to 2 different Kohl's. We gave two to her mom, since she is coming with us on vacation. What a deal!!!!!!:cool1:
