Today we went to MK...we all rode Astro Orbiter, which DS2 was a little unsure of, but he did fine. DD7 and DH rode Buzz Lightyear, I think that is their favorite! We did a couple rides we'd never done: the railroad and the People Mover. The railroad was very cool, so relaxing to do on a hot, hectic day!! There's neat scenery to look at too. On the People Mover, we had such a great time! DD7 loved that ride! She loved that she could see into Space Mountain, as well as Buzz, and also that the ride was so long! Usually you stand in line for something that is over in 2 minutes (Dumbo, are you listening?), but People Mover seems like it lasts 5 minutes or so...we all also rode Goofy's Barnstormer (the kiddie roller coaster) and DS2 was REALLY not sure about this, he screamed a lot, but he didn't cry.
I got my standard Dole Whip before we left, and I was happy.
We had plans this evening to go out with Kim and Jason. We had arranged for a babysitter (2 actually) to come to Kim's room and watch all 4 of our children. The adults went to Epcot for the Food and Wine Festival. We went to all the booths and sampled some great and exotic things (for me, anyway)...sushi, duck, sushi again (I liked it!)...and some exotic DRINKS...we had a blast. We also rode Spaceship Earth which was cool, but it stopped twice during the ride which was weird. We stayed for Illuminations, which was nice b/c we'd had to miss it earlier in the week when it got cold on us. We rode Maelstrom...and also sampled the heavenly desserts at Norway (chocolate Mousse is the best!). We went back to the Villas at Wilderness Lodge and the kids had all done fine with the babysitters. They had dinner downstairs and had played outside some...when we got to the room (very very nice room, btw), Jaisen was asleep and the other 3 were playing nicely. I am really glad we tried the babysitting service at DW, we never had and the babysitter we got was very young, pleasant and the kids really enjoyed her. We won't hesitate to use them again. It was very nice to be able to go out and have some adult time. Although I did spend almost the entire time looking over my shoulder to see if DD7 was with us!! Old habits die hard.
