Credit as usual to DD for the photos!

Breakfast was booked for 7.30am this morning so we got a lie in! We both avoided the pickled eggs and made time to enjoy a hot drink on this particular morning, and then we were straight off to the park again, arriving soon after 9am. Straight over to our newly discovered favourite ride Buzz, where we went round twice with a very short queue, and bought BOTH of the photos! After a look in the shops we headed over towards Frontierland as the park was about to open and we wanted to get some FPs for BTM. Yet another queue, just to get the FPs, but we got them for 11.10am and headed off to PM. I was keen to ride on Mark Twain but it wasn’t quite open, the CM said they were running some tests and it would be open later in the morning. By the time we came out of PM it was running and we managed to get on before it was time to ride BTM.

By now we were starting to feel hungry, we had decided to eat in Annette’s Diner so we worked our way in the direction of Disney Village, pausing to watch Alphabet You Are on the way! Annette’s is a great place to eat, not that I’m biased or anything LOL and we were seated straight away. DD went for the Green Piece, which she said was the best burger she had ever had in her life, as part of a value meal that included a drink and a brownie. I opted for the Fifty Fifty as I remembered it was yummy from last time, I also had water and we shared a chocolate and banana milkshake. Neither of us had room for the brownie so our waitress packed it up for us to take away. The entire bill came to around €37 as we received 10% off with our Dream Pass. After we had eaten we decided to go to the Disneyland Hotel to try and buy some stamps for the postcards I needed to send (the shop we bought them from the previous day hadn’t had any left). We had never been inside this hotel before, it really was lovely and well worth a visit! We headed back to the park and called by Discoveryland to see what the queues were like. We really wanted to try Autopia as it hadn’t been open before when we were there, but the queue was way too long. We had decided we would make a special effort to see the parade properly today and staked out a spot opposite Belle Notte. The weather was fabulous and I found I needed to wear the sunhat DD hates me wearing, and slop on some sunscreen too! We had a great spot though to watch the parade and take some great photos!

Mickey and Minnie head off the parade:

I called him Chimp, but who is this guy???

After the parade we walked back over to Autopia and decided the wait time was bearable so we went for it. Mean as this may sound we wanted to have a car each, I had a red car and DD was in a blue one, I thought she was behind me and kept slowing down to almost stopping, but then found there were two cars between us. Still, it meant I could take a few photos of her coming in after I got off myself. We then headed round to watch Honey I Shrunk The Audience, which this time was in French, so we were the ones that had to wear the headphones. After HISTA we had an Autopia craving to fulfil and the queue didn’t seems too bad so we got in it. Things moved a lot slower this time though as they had closed one side of the ride (why do they do that?), but DD did manage to be behind my yellow car in her blue car and I was able to take a few photos of her as we went round. We hatched a plan that next time I would make sure she had her camera with her so that she could take some of me…. Hmmmm maybe that wasn’t such a good idea? We then felt a little hungry ad thought a sandwich would make a nice snack. We stumbled on Victoria’s and the queue seemed short, how wrong were we?? I must have waited half an hour to get served, partly due to slow service and also thanks to one couple who tried several credit cards before giving up! Anyway, eventually we did get some food, but it wasn’t very nice and we wouldn’t choose to eat there again!

POTC only had a wait time for 15 minutes, or so it said, actually we walked straight on and ran round for a second go! As we returned the CM said that anyone wanting a second go round should stay in the boat, we didn’t need telling twice! This did however mean that we missed most of Candlabration, but we caught the very end, and you can’t have everything! We headed back to the Kyriad to pack up ready for a quick getaway the following morning.

Sounds like a really fun day. :thumbsup2
I LOVE it when you get a chance to 'go round' on a ride. On rides like IASW or POTC it's always worth asking.

The chimp is King Louie from Jungle Book:)

How cool does that parade look? Thanks again for the report, it adds to the build up for our next visit!!!!

Great day again Lovely photo of the castle :thumbsup2

King Louie!!! the American version had more hair in the 1980's; the 2007 version is going bald - is he getting older? :rotfl2:

I must try Annette's one day. We shared a peanut butter and jelly milkshake (sounds horrid) at the 50's Primetime in WDW this past Feb, and while I can't eat much ice cream it was wonderful. Sounds like the one at Annette's is as well.

And I have your passion for Buzz - my friend and I must ride it no matter how busy every time we go to WDW and DL

Another great report. Agree with your restaurant namesake that it is a great place to eat :goodvibes

Sounds like another lovely day!
TY for the great pics :thumbsup2 The parade ones are the first my computers decided to upload so they were really great to see :woohoo:
Annettes will have to go on my list of must do's for a trip in the future when we hopefully will make it back.

Thanks again everyone, we are now wondering how cheaply we could get there and back in a day! :goodvibes

:goodvibes The castle photo is gorgeous - well done to Kimbee . She obviously has a talent.
