Well, I finally madea start on my trip report - photos were taken by my DD Kimbee, enjoy!
Saturday 7th April 2007
Having woken up at 3.15am myself I had no excuse not to be ready to leave on time. We had local engineering works on the trains so this would have added an extra half hour to our journey. However, DH dropped us at another station further up the line so that we could avoid taking the bus they were laying on. We caught the train at 6.46am and were in Waterloo around an hour later. We headed straight for the Eurostar terminal to collect our tickets, their machines never like me and it failed to print, so we had to queue and pick them up from a real person. Tickets in hand we went back up to Boots to buy our lunch, it should have opened at 8am but showed no signs of doing so, so we headed back down to check in. Then it was off to WH Smiths to buy some magazines for the journey, we also bought a baguette to share, plus some crisps, drinks and chocolate. Time passed quickly and it was very soon time to board, we were played off by what I presume was a Disneyland Band, and I felt myself getting choked up already, I wasnt even there yet!
DH phoned us just before we went through the tunnel, then twenty minutes or so later we were in France, I was so tired by now that I dozed off for half an hour or so not like me at all! DD was really good though and left me in peace to sleep. The train pulled in at 1.30pm and we dashed straight off to the pink shuttle no Disneyland Express for us this time! We checked in to the Kyriad and paid the local tax, which I thought was included, but they said this was different to what we had already paid. Our room wasnt ready as yet, but we were at least able to choose our breakfast time (7am, 7.30am and 7am respectively) and leave our luggage before getting back on the shuttle to go to the park.
It was so good to see the Entrance again:
Using our day passes we entered the park, just a few more steps, and Main Street was right in front of us!
First stop was BTM where we managed to get fast passes for 7.55 8.25pm. We then saw the Story Boats were open, which werent the last time we were there, so we went on those. It was really busy generally and getting on any further rides seemed like a silly idea, so we headed for Belle Notte for an early dinner, ordered way too much but managed to get through most of it. As we came out the parade was passing through, we watched a little bit from behind the crowd, but agreed that we would make a special effort to see it on one of the days we were there. We were sort of looking for the AP office, and sort of fell upon it quite unexpectedly. Managed to get our 10% off due to sponsorship, plus we were refunded the full cost of our day passes, now that we had these I felt I could really relax. We then went to the City Hall and booked a Princess Character meal at Auberge de Cendrillon for the Sunday at 2.30pm. I said that we were celebrating DD 15th birthday and they offered us a cake for 22, which didnt seem worth it since there was only the two of us, so we declined.
POTC was showing a 30-minute wait time so we went for it, then we went back to the hotel to get into our room and sort of unpack as much as we could be bothered to. We then arrived back at the park just in time for BTM, and then we did PM, closely followed by POTC as there was only 5 minutes to wait! Feeling like a snack we went to the village and bought a bag of chips to share, then it was back to the Kyriad and bed!
