Trip Report Aulani June 2025

For dinner my parents went to Gina's Kapolei to pick up our dinner. It is just one town over and we were craving some Asian food esp Korean. Man are the portions huge and reasonable priced!






Everyone enjoyed their meal and we were able to get a couple of meals out of this dinner.

And look at this view while eating.


Later on that night we head out for our astronomy activity..apparently we should have checked in a but early... we arrived right on time. So arrive a little early

The astronomy was amazing. You can see some stars here u cannot in the states like the southern cross. We got to learn soo much and my son got to ask soo many questions. He looves space.




Highly recommend signing up for this activity!!

After it was done we needed to get something at the store.... I forget what but my son talks us into a little toy. He got chip or dale... always forget which is which.


And then we went to bed. Another great day in paradise.

Next up we went over to the lawn area. We met chip and dale. Soo cute.




And then went to the star! Olu mel!!!
The line for him is long so be prepared and he does not come out as often as other characters.


I did a cute backpack pic too.


Olu mel of course looved my outfit and loved the little version of him on my back. Had soo much fun. Wish I could meet him all the time.

After that we head back to our room and chilled and relax.

And then we will head to my fav happy hour.

Day 5

Today we woke up to do sunrise yoga on the paddle board. There were couple other people with us. My mom felt better doing it today than she did yesterday and did not fall. I fell a couple of times but it was when she gave us play time to try harder balancing moves and see what we could do. I was able to do the tree pose after a bit of practice.... balancing on a paddle board and doing balance poses is soo hard but fun. What a great way to start the morning.







My dad has our seats again and my husband and son come down. I decided after working out to try out a treat, yummy cupcake.

This cupcake is good has a fruit filling too!

My parents left late in the morning to go visit some friends. We stayed and had more resort fun. We checked out beach toys again... so great we don't have to pay for them.


And my son had soo much fun. Another family had to leave their castle so my son had fun adding to it.




And cooling off in the water when it gets to hot... ohh the life.

We then got on of the free Boogie boards for my son to try out. There are no real waves in the lagoon so just floating and kicking around.





We had fun.

My husband orders the poke nachos. They are soo good.


But that just made me more hungry. So me and my son went back to the room to eat some of the food we had back in the room.
Again soo hard to beat this view.

Went back to the chairs. My son wants to play with daddy... so they go off and I think hmm what should I get as a drink. I keep seeing the pineapple drinks and I say yes that is what I need... lol. They are soo expensive but Yolo. So I order one.

My mom comes back from their friends trip and has some of my drink too.


And when my husband comes back... no more drink but he eats some of it.. lol.


Ohh also had this yummy mickey cookie too.

We leave the pool and chill out in the room. My parents want to eat the left overs we have and they watch my son so we can go have date night. We go to the Olelo room for our date night. It is such a great little restaurant/bar. The menu is limited but soo good. I get this purple drink cause look at it!

While waiting for food... saw mickey and he had like no line... so I did a quick selfie!


Lots of yummy bites size food here.





We have not found any bad food here. We love it all such good sushi and other bite size food.

I got another fun drink.


Then dessert!! Always get their desserts here. Soo good. We always get their pineapples cobbler! It is the best.

The drinks here are really good... I later find out why when we do the mix drinks class on Saturday.

The music comes out during the end of our dinner. Always love live music.



I think many of the restaurants at Aulani are not worth their price but this place is! Highly suggest coming here and it is walk up only.

Next tipsy me and family go to the animation class we signed up for my son loves to draw.




I wish they did more of these classes. They are soo much fun.

At that was the end of day. A nice relaxing resort day.

Day 5!
Good morning, today is time for a run. Training for Wine and dine soo need to get some runs in and I have been slacking. Lol. I have fun taking pics along the way.




Also here is a pic of a map of Ko olina. Such a nice little running or walking path along the beach.








Such a great and pretty run. They do have water fountains and bathrooms on the path if u need them too.

Then we get changed for our outing for today.

My son wanted to do a pic of his picture from last night this morning.

Today we are heading to Waimea Vallley and Falls.
So heading up to north shore area again.
We want to get there right when it opens since we know it can get crowded.
We bought online but found out it does not actually save time or money... still need to wait in the ticket line... so just buy in person.
And there is a local peacock

They have bathrooms and nice covered seating area right outside ticket line. Very nice.

We take our time exploring all the things to the water fall. My son loves learning and reads all the signs. They have people out to teach about the culture and they have a collect a stamp activity to get a pin. So of course we have to do that. Lol.






I loove the botanical gardens part. Like u know the waterfall is cool but the walk there is just as wonderful with all the plants and history.

Go down the little paths! There are soo many little paths and look at all the flowers.







And found a lizard. My son started spotting them everywhere.

We really enjoyed the walk.
I should mention they did have shuttles going back and forth if u could not walk it. But such a great walk if u can do it.

So at the waterfall area they have a couple of bathrooms and changing rooms but not a lot. So we could change into bathing suits if u don't want to walk in it.

You have to pick up a life vest they provide and will not allow u in the water without it. My mom and my son decided not to go in. There is seats to sit while you wait and can watch.

I would wear some sort of water shoes it is slippery getting in and out. The water was very refreshing. We had a great time.






Wish it was less crowded but it is what it is. We took our time walking down here.


We walked back and took the much more direct route.
But of course still saw some new flowers.


And then headed out after hitting up the bathrooms.
And noticed the poster that shows the films that happened here.


Overall we all loved this spot worth the cost. Take your time, we saw soo many rush through to the waterfall and back and they missed soo much.

Next we head back to Haleiwa. It is right next to the valley for lunch.

We hit up our fav shrimp spot. We love this one cause it is super flavor and less of a line.

Look at that garlic on it!

We all get the garlic shrimp

Then right next door we go to the best, yes the best shave ice store.

Run don't walk to this place. My mom use to come to Oahu for work all the time and this is th best shave ice place. Not those other places with long lines. Everything is natural syrups here and it taste like heaven. I got the north shore.






At the back of the restaurant they have a great eating spot next to the river.

This was the rainbow one.



Forget what mom and husband picked.



Everyone looved them. They melt in your mouth.

We head back to our hotel and we stop to shop at the ABC store and at the hotel store.
We get some cute things.
Onesie if our newest niece.

My son got the Maui hook it glows and makes noise too. Luckily noise is optional.


And got my son a new cover shirt. I got the cool fan (used it a lot at WDW last 2 weeks) Another onesie for niece. And the pillow of Olu is a travel pillow.


I get some yummy treats at the ABC store.

We chill and relax for a bit.

Dinner is just left overs.

And we do sunset beach pictures.... I will post that in bit need to download them off of Alauni.

Then then head over to the fire pit for story time. We grab a seat and listen. He is such a good story teller and love learning more about the culture and they views at sunset are great.





Next we grab a drink at the off the hook bar.


And I realize I have not gotten a mickey oce cream bar. Yet but u can order here at the bar. Soo guess what I got!



And then we headed back to the room for sleep. Another great day in paradise.

Here are the beach pics:

Around sunset times they have mutiple photographers and u will see a line with rope. The line may look long but most people have big family groups and with mutiple photographers it moves fast.
If u get the photopass (which is through the Disneyland app... weird I know) it is all included for the affordable price of like 79 for the week of all your photos.
We are going to use these on our xmas cards this year.
Also forgot those who want more pics I saw a family going back in line to get another photographer to get more poses. Soo u can get even more pics.









Ohh I should mention leis we just got from the grocery store. Much cheeper that way and the nut leis are the free ones from the dvc party
