And I love your scrapbook so much! I've wanted to do one for my dog but unfortunately a majority of our pictures of her are in our summer home stored away. Exactly what breed was Diva? She looks unique!

Hi, I'm glad you posted again!

DD bought a ton of books and showed me that one last, had kept it hidden from me in the store until we got home!!

It felt so good to make that scrapbook. I did shed a lot of tears, but a lot of great memories came back, too.

Diva was a Schipperke, a Belgian breed. They all look exactly alike. I've only met two people who had one although there is a family on YouTube with four. They are so cute, I used to love watching their videos, but I doubt I'll watch them again.

When we first got Diva, we had people ask us "what" she was, not what breed!!

I hope you and DD are doing a little better now. We lost one of our dogs on Tuesday. Ruby (a terrier mix) was only 7 years old. It was sudden and very sad for all of us. Here is a picture of her:

My oldest DD brought out a bunch of pictures of her when she was a puppy. We laughed and cried. Maybe we'll do a scrapbook - it might be a good healing activity.


My brother has a Schipperke. She's a crazy little thing! He loves her! She thinks she's a big dog. She likes to challenge his other dogs. She rules the house though!

I'm really looking forward to our trip now. The kids really need it. We are planning our 100 day party - which might turn into a 99 day party. DH and DD are firefighters/dive rescue team members and I think they have a drill on our actual 100 day mark.

I'm definitely not an artsy/craftsy person (believe me, DD's elementary school projects suffered due to this!! ) but making the scrapbook has been so great!

Oh no! Kimba, I am so so so sorry. There just aren't enough words, are there? I feel terrible for you and the kids. It is so horrible, isn't it? I'm still wondering when the pain is going to go away or at least get less. Tuesday was a week and I think the last three days have been very hard, because I'm realizing fully that she isn't coming back.

Thank you so much for putting up a picture of Ruby. She was beautiful!

Making a scrapbook really helped me and I can't tell you the number of times that DD and I have taken it out and looked at it. She was taking pictures of it last night to send to her DBF who is away at college. I put in things that we said to her that other people wouldn't understand (like sleeping in the Mama's beddy ) but that would always remind us.

Schipperke's are little nuts! They have no idea that they are small dogs and Diva did rule our house! So incredibly smart and so loving. I'm happy to hear your brother has one!

We do need our trips and I hope that we can meet!

I am here (of course)...I just get a bit distracted by the diaper wearing member of my family sometimes. You should have seen him last night with his stuffed Mickey (thanks to his mom of course), he was laughing with him. I told dh that I have him in training to love the characters.

I love your scrapbook pages. I love to scrapbook (short on time, long on intentions on this end). Diva sure was a spunky little sweetheart. Her personality just jumps right out of the pictures. I love the one on the scrapbook page of your dd holding her. What a sweet memory.

Now that your Beast is properly dressed, are you going to give him his "day out"? Although, he might have had more fun going out the way he was dressed before!

That little diaper wearer!! I bet he was adorable!! How about a picture of him?

I've only made two other scrapbooks. One for DD of our Disney trips and one for my Mother of pictures of her and my Dad, me, and Kayli. Diva and my childhood dog Chi Chi were in there, too.

I just saw a commercial for Blue Man Group at Universal. Looks like so much fun.

The Beast and the girls need to go out!!!

They really are an amazing breed. They are so tough. Diva used to bark at the thunder, not because she was scared, but because she was trying to scare it away! Because we were an all girl house, she basically hated most men! She accepted DD's boyfriend but it took a lot of barking and snarling and sniffing to get there!! He needed to know who was boss!! The funny thing was, the older she got, the more she turned into a baby. I could never say "bad" to her or her feelings would be hurt and she'd be so upset! And if I swore in front of her, she would stare at me for the longest time as if she was so disappointed in me! I always used to say that no one would ever love me as much as Diva, because it verged on stalkerism!! My little love.

And she truly treated DD like a sister! DD called it Diva's sibling rivalry!

I hate bugs and creepy crawly things!!! My back yard is like a miniature AK!!! You never know what is going to run past you!!

I do have a pretty good zoom, but I got close to him! They have no teeth!!! (I HOPE!)

So all of your plans are shaping up, I am soooo jealous! I keep hoping that one of these days we'll be back. It is hard with junior high and senior high kids... our daughter is a serious homeschooling dancer and our son is really into sports, tricky schedules. I can look forward to grandchildren! Might be quite a while! I keep putting out the Disney info to see if we can fit it in!

That scrapbook has really helped with our sadness. We were laughing tonight remembering how Diva saw DD eating Cheetos and went crazy begging, refusing to leave DD's side until she got some!!

That's so cool that your kids are into things, but that does bite that you can't go to Disney with those busy schedules! Here is some pixie dust that time will open up for you and Disney!

I'm already looking forward to Grandchildren some day! I told DD when they come to Grandma's house, they are going to drink Coca Cola, eat fast food, watch Hannah Montana (who DD can't stand!) and listen to MY music -- just to drive her insane!!!

Not that I plan to be a Granny for a very long time; DD has already told me to be very patient for many, many years!!
