Okay Here it is our trip Itinerary for the our vacation starting August 5th. Our first big trip with our motor home staying at FW. Please if anyone has any tips, comments or advice all is welcome. The players- DH 36, Me 32, DS 13, DS 6, DD 4, DS 2- also we will be picking up my niece and nephew and keeping them with us for the week. BTW we only have 3 days left on our hopper passes and that is what we are going to use this time.

Thursday, August 5th leave Massachusetts 5:00am (hopefully) and drive straight to Maryland (DBIL) to spend the night.

Friday, August 6th leave MD early and drive to South Carolina eating at Dukes BBQ of Beaufort- We are staying at Tuck In The Wood Campground on St. Helena Island (anyone, anyone???)

Saturday, August 7th take a tour of Parris Island around 12:00-1:00 leave and head to Orlando. I have no idea where we are staying this night. My mother in law wants to find out if we can spend the night in her parking lot (Her idea not mine, I would rather find a campground or something)

Sunday, August 8th Visit with DMIL and do some laundry. Pick up the rental car around noon. Pick up my neice and nephew and check into FW. We are just going to take it easy, maybe go to the petting zoo and go to the pool. Dinner at Trails End Buffet.

Monday, August 9th- MGM- I have a whole itinerary but I won't bore you with the details unless someone is interested. Eating at Pizza Planet for lunch and making supper in the Motor home my six year old's favorite Taco Salad.

Tuesday, August 10th- Breakfast at Trails End (I hope they open early)- Typhoon Lagoon- have to be there at opening to get the Oasis- spend the day there. Dinner Roadhouse Grill

Wednesday, August 11th- Magic Kingdom- Thank you again Les for the itenerary- lunch at Peco's Bills- four hour break nap for the little ones- Making supper at the RV- Pasta with Meatsauce- and back to the park for fun, parade, and fireworks.

Thursday- August 12th-There is a path between FW and WL we are going to walk it to get to Breakfast at Whispering Canyon. Ride the boat to the TTC and catch a monorail ride- hopefully the morning traffic will have depleated and we can ride up front (or some of us anyway) Go back to FW enjoy the pool. Trails End for Dinner and Downtown Disney for some shopping in the evening

Friday-August 13th- Gatorland during the day (If anyone hasn't been, its great must do for our family). My Mother in law has a greek restaurant near to where she lives (Orlando) that does dancing and stuff on Fri and Sat nights. Its suppose to be a great time especially for the youngsters since the dancers encourage people to join in. So we are doing that and then spending the night at DMIL's.

Saturday- August 14th- Rest dat at Grandma's House (for the little ones)- Do Laundry- Dad is taking the older kids to BB thanks to a kind soul from the Dis- Dinner Sweet Tomatoes- Drop off Rental Car (day early, won't have time next day I would have to get it there at noon and blows my schedule out of the water)

Sunday- August 15th- Magic Kingdom EE (I want my daughter to wake up tink- keeping our fingers crossed)- Do Fantasy Land and Toon Town (Hubby will be at Splash Mtn with the older kids) Leave MK and go to Epcot. Get FP for TT and stroll around the rest of the day on whatever we get to see. I.C. Social 2:50- Leave whenever. Dinner Trails End- Campfire Movie- Electrical Water Pagent and if we can see Fireworks from the beach.

Monday- August 16th- Long Drive to Jacksonville N.C.- Tony's Pizza and Cabin Creek Campground.

Tuesday- August 17th- Camp LeJune in the am- Drop my neice and Nephew off on I-95 with thier Mom (she is comming down from MD to spend a week in Virgina- We are meeting as we head up to MD). If anyone hasn't guessed, yes, my husband was a Marine, he wants to show us his old haunts.

Wednesday- August 18th- Spend the day with DBIL in MD maybe go to D.C. for the day

Thursday- August 19th- Leave MD for MA

How's it look everyone. I would love some input. Am I saving the campfire movie for to late in the week??? (I am concerned at the kids bed times for getting up to go to the parks where as if we do it the night before we leave they can sleep the 10 hours it takes to get to N.C.). Questions, Comments, Advice, Please!!!! Thanks for taking the time to read!!!!!

bOY YOU GUYS HAVE A LONG VACATION PLANNED!! I DON'T THINK YOU'VE GOT YOUR DAYS TO CRAMMED , YOU HAVE A VERY LAID BACK ATTITUDE!!! GOOD LUCK AND I HOPE ALL OF YOU HAVE A BLAST!!!:earseek: :hyper:

and sometimes you have to be ready for the rainstorms.....the thunderboomers......the I Don't want to do this ......hope that you can stick to your plan........and most of all have fun

I think I built a little play room in there, not much but a little. I hope everything will go as planned, but you can never tell!

Pack ponchos for the afternoon showers and you should be fine. (Dollar Tree - 2 for $1!) Your plans sound great! Too bad you won't have time for AK and EPCOT - maybe next time. Have a wonderful time, and good luck waking up Tink! :)

Remember, it doesn't have to be a late night at the campfire if you don't stay for the movie...and be sure to check with the front desk to find out which movie is playing which night...we usually work around that a little bit if we can.

...oh, and have you seen the electrical water pageant from the FW dock/beach? That's fun and laid back for the first night.

....and in August I bring plenty of insect repellent to spray on legs, ankles and shoes/sandals. (I use lightly on arms and faces when I make sure the legs/feet are done...seems to work pretty well rather than putting it on heavier all over.

sounds like a great itinerary to me... what you may want to do is check out the movie schedule and let the bigger kids and dh (or you) stay for the movie and take the littler ones back to go to bed earlier after the campfire... that way you can get them to sleep before the bigger ones get back...

have a great trip and report in when you get back!
