It’s always something! I hope that any and all Disney Dining Plan “Experts” will take a look at this to help me out. I don’t recall seeing this addressed prior to this but I’m sure it must have come up, I just can't find anything.

We are doing a split stay and the dining plan for both portions of our trip. On the day that we check out of “A” into “B” we will have 1 TS each (3 TS total) left from “A” that must be used by midnight or they will be lost or at least 1 would be lost. On that day we are going to a Signature dining location which requires two TS credits (6 TS total for our party of 3). Can I use my 1 (3 TS total) remaining credit from stay “A” and 1 (3 TS total) from stay “B” to pay for this meal?

No, you can't combine credits from stays. Can you switch the Signature meal to an earlier day? Otherwise, you'll effectively lose one credit.

You can use two of the three remaining credits for one person's meal, but you can't use the third 'old' credit in combination with either one 'new' credit, or cash.

I thought about moving thngs around to make it easier but it would screw things up too much. I hope I don't forfeit the one credit.

The score currently is:

Yes you can - 1

No you can't - 1

More please.

This is a "call and ask the official people" kinda question.

Well, really, it's a 'wait until more people chime in' question. Several of the very DDP-knowledgeable posters can't be online in the middle of the day. Check back tonight, and tomorrow around this same time (but I still think I'm right ;))

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. I was going to call but was not sure who to call and would much rather hear from people who have maybe experienced the same issue, it must have come up prior to this.;)

I'd bet it's probably one of those things that the server can probably make happen in the computer but since it isn't something that often happens you will get lot of opinions on what everyone thinks they know will happen. Even if you get a person or two who has definitely been able to do what you want or definitely been denied the ability to do what you want, it still may not be what will happen for you. Even calling disney and asking wont get you much of an answer besides what the cm thinks the case will be. I would think they wouldn't be able to combine the two, it doesn't make sense that they would be able/willing to. But who knows. I wouldn't count on it but if your plans will then be for losing the credit altogether you may as well attempt it. Or even explain as you check into your new hotel what your plans for dinner are. They will be able to see on your dining reservations that you are planning on dining signature that night and may be able to help you out. i know many have reported that they had this problem or that and they went to the front desk and their amount of credits were adjusted (where too many had been charged for a meal or such). But again I wouldn't count on it being able to happen but I wouldn't just forfeit the credit without attempting something.

Thank you. As soon as we check in to the BCV's I will talk to the Consierge to see if anything can be done. I know it's only one credit but I wouldn't want to just forget about it.

The ultimate answer you get may be that you would need to take a chance to find out if you can even do this when you actually GET to the restaurant.

If you don't want to take a chance of losing the 1 TS credit AND you don't want to mess with your ADRs, I would pay for ONE adult OOP at an earlier 1TS restaurant so as to leave an even number (4) TS credit for the 2TS restaurant on the last night.

Hope this makes sense. Good luck.

Yeah, that would work. There are three people in the OP's party (I think), so paying OOP for one meal for one person earlier in the week would leave them with an even number of credits. Two diners could then use up the old credits for the Signature meal, and the third diner could use two credits from the new reservation.

I'm doing this too. We have HDD scheduled for the night we switch & we will have 2 TS credits left from the first part of the trip.

I was excited at the solution provided but then I looked at it again and I will then end up with 1 TS credit left over at the end of the trip.

kutchyone: Tell us your number of nights on each reservation (equals number of TS credits per person) and where you're planning to eat each TS meal. Maybe we can figure something out for you.

jjohnson: Two credits total at the end of your first reservation? That should work okay - use those for one person, and the new reservation credits for the other diner/s.

Why don't you post how you are going to use your TS credits for both stays and we can try to figure something out.

But it was for a 2ts for the poly laua. I did it at guest services at the poly.
I guess those ticketed 2ts events are the exception, not the rule.

Good Luck.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the extra brain power that the DIS generates.

08/15 to 08/19 (4 nights) 3 people = 12 TS credits
08/15 Fultons - can't use credits
08/16 Boma
08/17 San Angel Inn
08/18 Kona Cafe

08/19 to 08/24 (5 nights) 3 people = 15 TS credits
08/19 Yachtman (Signature)
08/20 Le Cellier
08/22 California Grill (Signature)
08/23 Wofgan Puck Cafe

Thanks again for everyones help.:grouphug:
