Ok,
I've read every thread....

I'm staying at the Raddisson the night the ship comes back into port.

I know they have a shuttle from the hotel to the port, BUT will they pick us up at the port and take us to the hotel?

Does anyone have the answer?

Is there cabs waiting at the port when the ship arrives that I could take over to the hotel?
Thanks
Doug

I'm at work, and don't have the tel.# to the Raddisson Hotel to call. If someone has the tel # to the hotel, it would help...Thanks

I have read on several threads that the Radisson DOES have shuttles to take you back there, from the port. Many people leave their cars at the Radisson while they cruise, so it makes sense that they'd want/need/have a ride back to the hotel! :)

I'm sure someone will post, to verify this. I've only read it, not done it myself.

Edited to add their phone #:

We sailed on the Wonder on 12/21/03 and stayed at Raddisson's the night before. It's a very nice resort. And yes, they do have shuttle to transfer you back to the hotel after the cruise.

Hope that helps,

Ling

We stayed at the Radisson the night before our cruise in October and will again this October. We actually ended up taking a taxi to the port as we were booked on a late shuttle. On our return the shuttle picks you up in the parking lot under a white canvas -- you can't miss it as all the shuttles seem to pick up there. We had early seating and left the Magic about 7:40am, picked up our bags, walked to the parking lot, the shuttle arrived and we were back at the Radisson picking up our car at 8am. We couldn't believe how fast and easy it was. There are also taxis around the port so that's an option too.

Have a great cruise!!

If I remember correctly the taxi with tip was $8. Well worth it for us to get to the port earlier than 2:30pm.

Thanks for the tip! I would not of even thought about a taxi, but I am someone who likes to be there "yesterday"...and to have to wait for a timed shuttle would drive me nuts. When we took the Disney Cruise 3 years ago, we did not have the land package, but we stayed in WDW the night beofre and paid for the ground transfers. My DH and I were sititng there as group after group were invited to a bus. We had to be at the meeting spot by noon time, and at this point is was going on 2PM. I wanted to GO. So, me being the assertive one, dragged my DH out to where they were loadingthe busses, and went up to the woman with the clipboard and just asked her if we could get on the bus. It was just the two of us. That bus was full, but she got us on the next one. WHO knows how long we would of sat there. We did not get to the ship until 3:45PM. I think that stinks!

Look like I will be calling for a taxi from the Raddison. Thanks!:wave2:

After clearing customs, DH got the shuttle, picked up the car and them came back for us. It took all of about 30 minutes and saved hauling the bags around more than we had too. With five folks, two of them teenagers, there was a lot of stuff.

Wow, I love this DIS site.
Thanks to all who helped me w/ my questions!

The easiest way to take advantage of the shuttle is for 1 person to deliver family and luggage to the terminal and return to the Radisson to park the car and take the shuttle back to the port. Then you are only trying to get 1 person on the shuttle--not numerous family members and luggage. Just be sure that the driver keeps his DCL ticket so there is no trouble entering the terminal area.

On debarkation one person takes the shuttle or taxi (we paid $5 plus tip and there are taxis waiting in the shuttle pick up area) instead of standing in the shuttle line, back to the Raddison and picked up the car and returned to pick up family members and luggage. Depending on your travel date you could be standing in the middle of an asphalt parking lot uncovered while waiting (from April on think HOT and REALLY HOT!!!).
