Trick or treat,.....

..... well? Have you been back and forth to your door this evening? Have you been dishing out sweets non-stop?

If you live in the SW and find an older than average, more menacing-looking Trick or Treater on your doorstep, beware! We've been tipped off that he will be demanding "Trick or beer" and won't take no for an answer

Yep, had a few of them here Shirley! As we live in a small crescent on it's own, it's been all the kids who live in the same road which is nice, and the little ones have been with parents.

Carys has loved it, she dressed up in her witch dress and was a cat (I couldn't figure that one out either!) and she's been answering the door to them all and dolling out sweets from her cauldron!! She's even got some in return too which was nice!

We haven't started here yet Shirley. I just hope we have lots of little monsters, ballerinas, and ghosts. Why? Because I have tons of candy and I don't want ANY leftovers!

Hi shirley

Well , we have had so much fun this evening.

We have had lots of little ones knocking (with their parents) from the village and each and everyone of them has been dressed up in some great costumes and make up. I am so surprised because where we used to live it was alwasy bigger kids knocking and menacingly more or less demanding money (apart from two little sweeties who lived opposite) - but here, it's a whole different story. They do it big and they do it in style! We had a big basket of sweets ready and they have nearly all gone. I think there is a childrens Hallowe'en disco tomorrow night in the village hall, which is only at the end of our drive, so I might pop there with some more sweets and take a look at all the costumes

I would have loved to take some photographs, but didnt want to get a reputation as being the new 'crazy' woman who has moved into the village! LOL

I daren't open my door around here!!!
The kids are suspiciously big and last year were not satisfied with a few sweeties and were damanding £1 coins or else - So i ignored them this year and instead we got sworn(is that sp right?) at and my front window got peed on - icky.

Zach was staying at his Dad's in Portsmouth so a whole group of them went out and he came back with 2 big bags full of goodies!!

Wow, bad form. I've never heard of such a thing.

I did have a few kids reach into my bowl and take some more candy. Weird. No manners.
